★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm posting for my mom as I haven't actually used them. My mom and I recently took a trip to Greece and Turkey. I had no problem getting travel medical insurance and used the same company I had before and suggested my mom to use them as well because in the past, it was straightforward. Since my mom is over 70 years old, she had to do a different form. So when my mom called them to do it, they didn't know how to exactly do it so they put her on hold, for four hours. The day was over so no one got back to her at that point. The next day she tried again and again, they put her on hold but this time it was for over seven hours. Frustrated, I decided to call around.
First place I called was Medi-Quote Insurance Brokers and I talked to a fellow by the name of Andrew (I don't know if he is based out of the Calgary or Winnipeg office) and I explained the situation to him. I asked if he could call her and help her out. He said not a problem, I gave him my mom's phone number and shortly after I explained to my mom that he was going to call, he did. After 45 minutes, it was all done. He had gone over the form with her and she had her travel insurance. My mom had gone from not wanting to go the trip to being excited about going.
