McKeen Construction helped us with a kitchen renovation. They did a great job, always kept us updated and informed about the schedule, and regularly checked in to make sure things were on track and done the right way. We would strongly recommend them for any home renovation job.

Ryan and the McKeen Construction team did an outstanding job transforming my dreary basement apartment into a bright, spacious, comfortable home. The end result was exactly how I had envisioned it. They offered alternatives to some of my designs that actually worked out much better. They were very patient with me, answering all of my many questions, and putting my mind at ease. Ian worked diligently with me to stay within my budget, clearly outlining any changes for my approval before implementing the work order. His guidance was greatly appreciated. Drew was my Rock. He was in constant contact with me throughout the whole process. His product knowledge and ease of explanation was a great comfort to me. His time and attention to every detail amazed and delighted me. And then there was Tyson, Carpenter Extraordinaire! Tyson was pro active in all of his projects. He quickly identified any areas that needed to be addressed, and quickly resolved the issue. He listened intently to my requests and with approval from either Ian or Drew, followed through immediately. Tyson thoroughly cleaned each work area, inside and outside, prior to leaving each day. By the end of the project, I felt as if they were all a part of my Family. Ryan, it is obvious that your Recruitment and Selection process is based on your own sense of Integrity, and excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills. Your Team is organized, analytical, methodical, focused and resourceful. They are accurate in the performance of their assigned duties by being attentive to instructions and detail. Working with Ryan and Guy was a pleasure. They listened to what work we required to be completed to our home, reviewed all the details of what was going to have to be done and provided us with a fair estimate. The individuals who completed the work were excellent! The estimate provided was bang on with no other hidden fees or charges. I had my leak damage repaired under my French Doors in the kitchen, new siding installed on an exterior window, drywall repaired in one of the rooms from a window leak, new flooring on the entire second level and minor repair to a ceiling. Everything was completed in a professional manner and everything looks awesome! I will not hesitate to use McKeen Construction for my next major project which will most likely be replacing my roof next spring. Thanks once again guys!

I would like to take a moment and thank Ian, Guy and the team from McKean everyone were extremely professional and helpful durning our renovation work. Right from the beginning Ian listened to what I needed and worked with me to develop a concrete plan. I was thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and his honesty. While the work was being completed Guy was helpful and supportive during the changes. He worked super hard to ensure that everyone in my home was also professional and Went the extra mile. We selected McKeen Construction based on recommendations of neighbours who had also used them. We were not disappointed. We started with a dated main bathroom and some vague ideas of what we wanted. Ian and his crew filled in the details and went to work. The different trades were on time, courteous and cleaned up at the end of every day. One minor hiccup with a supplier was dealt with quickly with minimal delays. At the end of the day we have the bathroom we wanted.

After a complete basement flood last July, we spent the next 5 months dealing with the Insurance Company and all things that entails. Once we decided that we were going to handle the renovations on our own, we contacted McKeen Construction to start to work on a vision. Ian came out to view the current basement then we started to collaborate on a NEW design and added features that we were really wanting to do since we bought the place. Ian and his Team were great at changing and revising our vision as well as coming up with some great ideas for layout. We ended up taking out walls and opening up the space to include, a brick feature wall with fireplace and TV, wet bar, Jersey wall, powder room with zero gravity toilet (we are on septic) a new laundry room/gym and a Music room. Dylan and the team of staff and contractors started at the end of January and worked steady until it was done 2 weeks before schedule. Dylan and the team were very respectful and worked hard to meet the given deadlines. We did have a few hiccups (who hasn't these days!!) but they were handled quickly and professionally. I would not hesitate to recommend the McKeen Team to anyone looking for general Contracting services.

While there certainly have been small projects that we have tackled and DIY, when it came to completing a major renovation project, we thankfully decided to leave that up to professionals. We ended up selecting McKeen Construction. From our initial meeting to the very end of our project, we couldn’t say enough great things about McKeen Construction. We decided on doing pretty much a full gut job and re-construction of our main floor. This included opening up walls, planning and bringing a vision to life that we had only in our minds. Ryan was fantastic in assisting with not only the planning of bringing this to life but also making his own design recommendations that helped make our vision even better. Communication is absolutely vital in a project of this magnitude and Ryan or anyone on the McKeen Team was always available and willing to discuss and answer questions throughout the process. The Team was extremely professional and attention to detail absolutely amazing. I have heard a lot of horror stories on major renovations and that has been happening even more so during COVID. Fortunately McKeen stayed true on original quotes and pretty much got the entire project completed on the promised time frame. We even occasionally requested some last minute add ons, tweaks or even additional work and everything was always completed with no hassle and as agreed. We were well aware that COVID was providing a lot of challenges for the industry, from shortages of trades, issues getting materials and run away costs. Somehow Ryan managed all this without missing a beat! Our home is now practically a new house and for the fraction of the cost of changing homes. The project brought our vision to life and has turned our first home into our dream home. Ryan and the McKeen Team were amazing professionals, attentive, honest and trustworthy. They always followed through on their commitments and we would recommend them over and over again. IF we ever need to take on another project, McKeen Construction will be the first call we make.

My husband and I recently hired McKeen Construction to renovate our kitchen, and we are so thankful that we found this wonderful company. We were so impressed from the moment we met with Ian to talk about what we had in mind for our space all the way up to when final touch-ups were completed. During the renovation, Dylan was wonderful.
