A few of my friends recommended this school to me, I found out their tuition is more reasonable and the office staffs are quick to answer my inquiries and really accommodated me well. Most of all, i had great class experience online & in class. Our instructor is very helpful esp in this challenging times where we have a combination of in class & distance learning. thanks McKay!

I recently finished the MOA program here and the management doesn’t care about the students. I also wished the school were more accommodating during this pandemic. For our online class we only had facebook videos/ posts from instructors and no zoom classes. We also didn't get a practicum, the CPR course was literally one week before finals, we had no space for social distancing in the class, management made us students wait in the cold/ sun and wait for our instructors to come in before we can. In the bright side, i learned a lot from the instructors specially in the clinical side. However the knowledge they give out is useless as a working medical office assistant.

I am highly disappointed with the experience I had at McKay in the Medical Administrative Assistant program. The entire program and school seemed to be extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Some of the course content was not updated to reflect the content in our textbooks, which caused problems when it came to exams - we were being tested on information that was not included in our textbooks. There were at least two tests where the content was not covered in the lecture, so we were instructed to google the answers. Our assignments and tests were not being marked and handed back in a timely manner. At the end of the program, there were assignments that we had handed in but never received our marks for. Our class and exam times were often canceled or moved with extremely short notice, including final exams. The instructor was extremely unprofessional and disorganized. With Covid we were moved from in class learning to online multiple times. The online instruction was poor, with Facebook being the main platform used for the majority of the course. When we were called back into the classroom, there were few precautions taken and we could not physically distance. Part way through our second term, the school finally provided dividers for between our desks, but they were not transparent, so we had to take them down to see the board and projector screen. Eventually the school implemented a daily temperature scan, which was not performed on a regular basis. When there was a positive case of covid within the school, I received conflicting messages from the administration and the instructor - one message said there was a positive case, and one said there was not. I was also asked by my instructor to contact all my classmates and let them know about the covid case in the school, which was not my responsibility. Overall, I would NOT recommend choosing McKay if you value your time and money.

Today, I got my diploma for MOA, it was tough, men!!! But with hardwork and expertise of our instructors, I made it to the finish the line. I will be forever indebted to this amazing training as Medical Assistant. Thanks to our school and our instructors. Highly recommended for MOA.

Highly disorganized. Students were left standing outside every morning regardless of the weather waiting for an instructor to come unlock the door, often late from when classes were supposed to start. With covid we were switched between in class and online multiple times throughout the program. When we were in class no social distancing was possible, despite concerns being raised by many students in my program. While we were supposed to be online we were still asked by our instructor to come in multiple days a week. These class times were changed or cancelled almost daily, including exams times and dates being moved with minimal notice. Overall, not a positive experience and I would not recommend the MAA program through Mckay

I recently finished The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program and I had an incredible time in Mckay. I recommend this for everyone who want to be a part of the medical field and love to help others. I love the atmosphere over there, the staff are incredibly nice, from the front desk; Jamie, Sonya and Kelsey are very welcoming and full of support towards us students. Specially our lovely principal Shelley who was one of the nicest and understanding people I’ve met. And of course, our amazing instructors Kim, Lorelei, Sandy and Tammy. Kim who taught us the clinical aspect of the program was an amazing instructor since day 1. Kim was full of life and didn’t make learning boring, she was very enthusiastic and full of life. Lorelei who taught us the administrative aspect of the course, she was very sweet and caring to us students. She was full of endearment and very supportive towards us students. It was a bittersweet moment when the program ended and I’ve grown so much since I attended Mckay. I won’t hesitate to visit from time to time because I just love to be there. It was such an amazing opportunity. Thank you!!! -JC

This school is literally only about money. The way they handle many situations is very unprofessional, every situation that is β€œresolved” seems to be only with a payment. I recently took the MOA course here at McKay and can definitely say it was one of my biggest regrets, this school caused me to have nothing but anxiety & depression constantly.. the amount of times I have seen classmates cry or be very upset because of the way these β€œinstructors” treat the students is beyond ridiculous. Not only do the instructors but as well as management handle sensitive situations very immaturely. Due to Covid we had to be in class half the time and online half the time which was very much a headache as we had to be at school for a morning class and online for an afternoon class, this left little to no time to complete many assignments/lectures that had needed to be completed by a deadline. With being online half the time this cut our clinical hours in class very short.. and caused many students to not be done all the required assignments on time. The instructors had no care to this as students were rushing to try and finish on the last day to complete these assignments.. over half the class were told they β€œfailed” the clinical aspect due to this situation. After many of us students finally got to speak to management about this issue all of these students were told that in order to finish their requirements to complete clinical they needed to pay extra for the β€œtime being used” to complete these assignments. I would personally NEVER recommend this β€œschool” to ANYONE. The constant change in management also shows a lot about this school.
