★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my fave places! There are trails to stroll, rock walls to climb, a path to the island, and even a small cave. I sit here at lunch every day, and listen to the road of the falls. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love these falls during the summer time, they are very peaceful and a great place to clear your mind and unwind. Perfect place to bring children, or to take your poochy for a walk through the forested land around. They have picnic tables if you'd like to have your lunch outside also there's a bit of sand to spread a towel on to enjoy the sunshine! This place is the perfect spot to take scenic photos or to do some forest treasure hunts. All in all I'd have to say that McGowen Falls is my tiny happy spot to ease away the stresses of everyday life its like paradise but close to home!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved that this waterfall was easily accessible right from the parking! It was pretty cool to stand over the grated pathway and feel the power and mist of it. Small and pretty!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ McGowan falls is a nice little waterfall that is let out by the dam. The water is nice with very small fish. A word of caution, the rocks in the water can be a bit sharp/slippery, so wear rubber sandals/waterproof shoes in the water. The conservation area and lake are very pretty and picturesque.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another stop on the way home and another dam that should and could easily be removed. There was a nice easy walking trail and we sat and enjoyed the river on a park bench. There was a picnic bench near the parking lot if one desired to sit and eat while enjoying the sounds of the falls. Parking is free which is also great.
