★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started ordering food from Masalaz only less than an year ago, mostly because they are farther away from where I live compared to the other South Indian restaurants. However, ever since I made my first visit, I have been going back to this place occasionally. If you want to have authentic South Indian food at the lowest price in Edmonton, this is your place. Love their fish and beef curries. They also offer tasty snacks if you are interested.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ South Indian food is my new favourite style or a Indian food, even though I've been coming back here for a lot of years now. The food is always so good and such a nice change from the buffets. Sometimes they have awesome deals, but regardless, it's always worth the half hour drive for me to get here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Thattudakata chicken is fantastic along with the fish Pakora. Its a good South Indian place, and great value for what you are getting. The Masala Dosa is good, Parotta, Appam (when they have it available during Easter). Sometimes they have special snacks that are available which is unique and adds a home style feel. The only critique is that the beef is not as good as other ones I have had, but maybe they changed that version by now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been coming here for almost 18 years and it's one of the best South Indian Restaurant in Edmonton. My family also wants to come here when they visit me from out of town. Great price for it's quality and portions. It's a hidden gem! Must try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It may look like your average neighborhood Indian restaurant, but Masalax is anything but!
I wandered in here on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of South indian spices. I ordered lamb biryani and I should say, that the value for the price is worth it. You get decent amount if protein on it. Definitely recommend.
