★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Marthyman was my family physician for about 15 years. I now prefer to use walkin clinics. I cant understand these positive reviews as my experience with him was the exact opposite. Making an appointment was more often than not a complete waist of time and found his "wait and see" approach very frustrating. I found other doctors at walkin clinics much more helpful. For example: he tried to charge me a substantial fee(about 200$ as I recall) to remove a golfball sized cyst from my back claiming it was cosmetic. When I got a second opinion, the walkin clinic Doctor was shocked at his cosmetic diagnosis and later removed the cyst for free as it was infact a danger to my health.
He had me hobbling around on a badly torn miniscous for over 14 months before finally ordering an MRI and realizing the extent of the injury. Once the Orthapedic Surgeon finally saw the MRI, I was on the operating table within weeks and actually told me he couldnt believe I had walking on it for that long.
I would be hassled and on multiple occassions, actually refused my requests for STD testing.
The last straw was him missing an obvious diagnosis that even I recognized that was picked up the very next day by a great walkin clinic Doctor that I now wait in line to see when I need medical help.
I know its hard to find a Family Doctor in this area but this guy is a complete waist of time.
