C	Carina Kwok on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is fantastic. They sell travel maps, hiking maps, oil and gas maps, everything! There's also a good selection of travel guides, beautiful globes, and accessories like waterproof journals. The staff is super helpful and friendly.

But it was hot like the fires of hell in there, and the guy tried to upsell me on a whole new gps unit. All i needed was a digital topographical map of europe, but he tried to tell me my unit was useless (since it IS about 3 years old now), and he said what I SHOULD do is buy a brand new gps unit from him for $250. I wasn't born yesterday. I'm just going to find a map on the net and download it on to my Unit.
S	Strawberri on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I went in the store and try to find a globe for my daughter. The man at the counter was nice and told me the price of the globe that I chose is $85 in the system, and there are no price tags displaying on most products. Later, when I want to buy it, the Guy, David, said very rudely that the system is wrong, and US dollar goes up, and the price now is $95, and the price in system has to be adjusted, etc.. Oh my, this is first time when I meet this in Canada, and I can say nothing about this. David, SHAME!

K	Krystal Chin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our company have been using MapWorld as retailers for our GPS and road chips for years and THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Our staff had waited outside of MapWorld at their opening hours and David (owner) insisted that our staff was wrong and it was not David's fault because the store opens at 9:30am, and not 8:30am (even though it's written on their store window and online that they open at 8:30am). I don't consider trading in used, more expensive units for face value for a new, cheaper GPS with no discount as him "doing me a favour", that's dealing business with you, MapWorld. David went as far to say "this conversation is over" to hang up on me on the phone because he refused to work out a deal with us on an agreement he had made with us and backed out of in a whim. I don't considering "this conversation is over" or "I have to go help other customers now, so bye" is good customer service in general, especially to loyal, returning customers. Well lucky for you David, that you won't have to deal with us returning anymore because MapWorld had just lost business with this company. I would recommend buying your navigation needs elsewhere, like MEC or GPS Central, where people are nice and pleasant to talk to.
K	Kyle Burles on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in to pick up a basic paper map. The girl at the counter was nice but she informed me that I needed to talk to the boss. He was busy so I had to wait. Not that big of a deal. 15 minutes later he came up obviously annoyed and asked what I was looking for. I explained and he pulled out a map plunked it on the counter and still obviously angry that I was disturbing his routine said, "You need to hold that" and promptly walked away. I looked at the map but I had a few questions. Well he was now busy on the phone berating another what I guess was a customer about the file format he was using and the customers failure to make himself understood. "You have to speak clearly or I can't do anything for you!". After he got off the phone he decided that behind the desk needed to be cleaned and that his employee was not smart enough to "Properly" sweep there! The girl pointed out that I was still waiting and coming back to me with an attitude that I had obviously just killed his puppy with a spoon, Told me that's all they had. I asked the price and was told $40. Well it was more than I was willing to drop and honestly his attitude had a REALLY strong effect on that decision. I toddled off down the street to Map Town and had awesome friendly service and the same map was $5. Best bet is that if you find yourself in Map World, just ask them for a map to Map Town!
S	Scott Wilson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After reading the reviews for this place, I was almost tempted to just order from online given that the owner sounded like he the son of satan. Luckily this was not the case! He came out and greeted me as I entered the store and helped me to select the map that I was looking for. I mentioned I was going to be getting it framed and he offered a framed map that he had available in the store that I could purchase. What more could you ask for?! If you want good customer service from someone who actually has a sense of humor and knows their products, then Mapworld is the place for you! Cheers
