About Maple Ridge Family Camp

Maple Ridge Family Campground has been a family owned and operated campground for the last 27 years.

Linda and Albert Giraudi, took over the campground from the previous owners, Shirley and Larry Adams, in 2014.

The campground was acquired in 2022 following the Giraudi's well deserved retirement. The campground is under the process of major improvements and an exciting season ahead. We hope you'll love our additions and new offerings while feeling like it is the same campground you've enjoyed for years!

Maple Ridge Family Campground is located in Miller Lake, right in the middle of the peninsula. It is just a 20 minute drive north to Tobermory, and a 20 minute drive south to Loin's Head. All of the Bruce peninsula's attractions are only a short drive away! The Campground is a 15 minute walk away from the beautiful Miller Lake, which has public boat launches/access, and tons of fishing fun!

Our mission is to provide a safe, clean, and fun place for families to enjoy the outdoors. Our friendly staff is dedicated to making sure that your stay with us meets your highest expectations, and that when you leave, your parting words will always be "We'll see you again soon!"

As the owners of Maple Ridge Family Campground for the last 8 years, we have been blessed to meet many wonderful campers. People from all over, enjoying themselves in the great outdoors. Due to the CoVid pandemic, we were forced to stay closed for several months, but, with proper protocols in place and our campers' gracious adherence to the rules, we have survived. Our campers are great, and we personally want to thank all of you who have been our patrons. Especially those who have turned to camping for the first time, we sincerely hope that we were able to provide the advice you needed to help you enjoy the experience, and make camping and other outdoor activities on the Bruce Peninsula a regular part of your vacationing plans. As I said, our campers are the best, but we occasionally get people who feel that the rules do not apply to them. Our rules are quite explicit, and explained to each camper when they first make their booking and then again when they check in. 99.9% of our campers abide by out rules, they respect the fact that there are other campers nearby, and do their best to enjoy themselves while allowing their neighbours the same courtesy. Occasionally, I need to ask people to quite down a bit, I always do so respectfully, reminding them of the time, and in 99.9% of those cases, our campers apologize to me, and quiet down. I am always flattered when you invite me to sit with you for a beer or a piece of BBQ. But that very small minority of people, generally younger, almost always drunk, who feel that they can ignore the rules and act however they please, these are the ones who ruin the great experience of camping for everyone else. I personally apologize to everyone who stayed at our campground this past weekend and were bothered by these individuals. They ignored the rules, they disrespected us, and only quieted down when spoken to by the OPP officers who were called in at 3 am to deal with their rowdy, drunken behaviour. These campers, unfortunately, are a disgrace to campers everywhere. It is my sincere hope that none of our first time campers will be dissuaded from camping in the future due to the behaviour of a small group of people. We hope you decide that camping is for you, that you give camping and the Bruce Peninsula another chance, and come to enjoy your time in the outdoors the same way so many millions of other do. Thanks to all our campers for their patronage, and we hope to see you all again soon!

this is our 4th visit. their bathrooms are newly renovated. fast clean up too. sites big enough for groups. drive to tobermory is about 20mins, 10mins to rona/general merchandise store. they have their own store as well which serves delicious delicacies. owners are awesome, very accomodating. highly recommended!

If I could double the star rating, I would give this camp ground 11 out of 10. The owners are the most accommodating people I've met, trying to meet what ever requirements you have. We requested a couple more bricks so we could build ourselves a place to cook our dinner over the fire, and while we were grabbing those the owner was currently building a BBQ for another camper. The service was outstanding and lots of information provided about the area, including dark sky viewing accommodations. The bathrooms were well taken care of and not a far walk to them or the office. Medium to low privacy but not terrible. Previous reviews mention the noise but we did not have the same experience, was told quiet time was 11pm and that followed true. Probably not the most entertaining for children as there was no swimming on site and small playground. Though if you are looking to stay the night and take off into Tobermory for the day, this would be an excellent place to stay.

Great family owned campground! The workers were friendly and accommodating and were able to recommend enjoyable local day trips. The bathrooms were clean, beautifully decorated, and well looked after. The campground has a beautiful view of the stars.

Great campsite to be in for a weekend in Tobermory. It’s a good 20-30 mins drive from Bruce Peninsula National Park. Trailers and RVs are cleaned and spacious. Common amenities are very well kept. Also, their broaster chicken at the restaurant is a MUST try. And I mean must try. Dare I say the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. Skin has that nice crunch and the meat is so juicy and tender. And the overall flavour is superb. The fries and the coleslaw are great addition to it as well. Highly recommended!

This place was great! Few notes: no staff is usually at the office so you have to call the number that's posted, the basic camp sites are pretty small (could fit a family sized tent but nothing else) we stayed at a serviced camp site which is much bigger and out in the open (no bushes for privacy) couple feet from RVs. Washrooms and showers are cleaned everyday and laundry is only $2 each. It's about a 20 min drive to Tobermory (but doesn't feel like it) and 20 min to lian heads beach which was very nice also. We really liked our stay and definitely will be going back.

Great camping place with lots of space and mosquitoes ? we went in August and should say if you're planning on going then you must take your own sleeping bags and tent if not renting RVs as it gets very cold at night. Washrooms are very accessible with hot water n showers so it's an excellent family friendly camping site ?

What a great first time rv trip experience. Friendly staff and they were very informative letting me know what type of a cite I needed to book for the type of rv I ended up renting. Being a first timer travelling with 3 small kids I was worried however we all had such a great experience at this camp and we look forward to coming back next year again.
