Manitoulin Resort | Friendly family resort in Ontario - Manitoulinresort.com

Guests can choose between deluxe housekeeping cottages or a camping vacation. In the spring, we cater to the fishermen who fish for trophy lake trout as soon as the ice leaves the lake. Summer brings families to our resort to enjoy a memorable vacation. Whether in one of our deluxe cottages or camping amongst the trees, memories are made here! In the fall, the pace slows down; we invite you to join us for the beautiful fall colours.

We are a family/staff operated resort who put our hearts and souls in to this beautiful retreat.  We all strongly believe in personal customer service.  It is always best to CALL us to confirm a camping site or cottage so that we can do our absolute best to accommodate your requests.  Unfortunately, a computer is NOT very good at conveying your thoughts and feelings however a quick call can make the process easy.  Feel free to email us however since we are family run, please be patient for a response.

STORE HOURS:

Our phone lines are open 7 days a week, all year.  Feel free to call us between 10am - 9pm.  Friendly voices are always appreciated!

It's a great location. The island itself has many beautiful places to visit when you camp here. The staff and the owner are very friendly. The washrooms were super duper clean and were being looked after every 2 hours or so.

Nice place. Lots of RVs. We stayed at the tent site area to the back of the grounds. Nice and quiet. Lively place. The staff were lovely and very accommodating of our late arrival. They put a map and info taped to the door for us as we arrived well after sundown in June 2021. Toilets and showers kept in wonderful condition. Will go again.

I camped here twice in one summer I loved the atmosphere so much. The staff are friendly and helpful, the sites and facilities are great and the water access is perfect with even a sandy bottom. Will be back again!

We had reserved 3 campsites for the July long weekend. We rode in on motorcycles the day after incredibly heavy rains. When we were checking in, we were told we could check out the 3 sites we had reserved and pick which ever site/sites we wanted (also see what site / sites were relatively dry.) If we wanted 1 site or all 3. It turns out we only needed 1 site to fit 4 tents, 5 bikes and a car. Big sites. They had incredible fire works too. Great place to stay. They made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back. Might even be a new, July long weekend tradition for us

We had an amazing time visiting Manatoulin Resort. We went camping while there. The capsite was nice and clean. The resort is family run and everyone is extremely friendly. The washroom were clean and maintained. It was also nice having a little beach right on the resort. The beach area is small but the lake it is on is absolutely beautiful. I really recommend Manatoulin Resort.

I wouldn't say that I hate the place but this isn't the place for occasional campers or weekend stops unless you have a trailer. Seems the staff or family that owns the place doesn't care about tent campers. They don't check up on you. Their services needs a lot of improvement. We rented a campsite to be told on check in that it was flooded and all muddy, pools of water everywhere. They didn't even ask if we wanted to try another site or anything. We paid 17.50 for firewood and it was damp and barely lit a fire it became a smoker instead. Now I make tons of reviews on Google and they are generally excellent. So I have no reason to put down a company for no reason. But Manitoulin Resort, come on, step up your class. As we left for checkout, not even a thank you for staying or asking how the stay was. They couldn't careless about you unless your a seasonal camper. One couple that had stayed overnight across our site even had the same comment regarding the lack of staff going around and checking things. Showers/washrooms definitely needs an update.

Our site (39)was nice and big. Sloped and dirt "floored" so it did get muddy on the big rains and took a bit to drain. For our trailer it was great we had a tarp, there was tons of trees to tie to andnthe size realpy made it awesome. Nice and private with lots of maple trees. Good fire pit away from the power cords (30amp!) so you can have a tarp/awning and not be over the fire area. It was a fair distance from the beach (like 7min walk) so we used our wagon and went for the day. Grassy area was nice to sit on, great swimming area especially for kids. Water was rough and warm! The playground is well maintained, as are all the facilities. Bathrooms and showers were super clean and nice to use. We made use of the coin laundry, and it was a great thing to come to midway through a 10 day trip. The people are friendly, beautiful maintenance for all the seasonal sites. Field to let the dogs run in was a great bonus, and they can swim at the boat launch (on leash). Definitely would go back again!
