Went there with my wife last weekend and it was marvelous! A couple of lovely Australian folks (guy and a girl) welcomed us, not sure if they own or only run the camp. Very clean, perfect location in squamish, good for families, prepped for drive ins, 5 minutes away from mamquam river, and 5 minutes away driving to all the stores you can think of. "In comparison-campground wise" ....has a very neat washroom. Would love to thank the Mamquam crew, and i promise ill come again!

Was at Mamquam River Campground with a friend a few days ago. Right away as we pulled up into the campground, Patrick (campground manager) welcomed us in and was very accommodating. It was our first time here and Patrick and his staff tended to all of our needs with no hesitation. He also recommended a lot of fun things to do in Squamish to see. In addition, the campground is a ~10 second walk to the river and had really beautiful trails all around to discover. We really enjoyed ourselves and definitely recommend anyone who’s looking for an easygoing camping trip. Definitely will be coming back!

We had an amazing experience here! We've decided this will be our go to spot from now on. Patrick and the staff were nothing but welcoming and friendly to us, and they went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. You can tell they love what they do and believe in providing a positive space for people to be in nature. The location is beautiful with the river a short walk away. The amenities are basic, but far more than we were expecting for a Campground with this price point. Kudos for the multiple secure bear bins and slack line course. We stayed in a walk-in site with a fire pit and picnic table, and we noticed that these sites offer more privacy than the drive in sites. Don't let the idea of walking deter you, they're only maybe 50-100m from the parking area.

The camp spot itself was alright. I don't remember if I picked the spot when I made the reservation or not, but our spot was right next to the entrance/parking lot, and there are other sites right next to us and we could see other campers. There's no privacy at all. However, there were a few more private spots, so it's definitely the spot we picked or we got assigned that wasn't so positive. The whole place was nicely maintained and clean. All the staff members were friendly and nice as well. The site is also very close to downtown Squamish, which we liked. You have an easy access to Mamquam River, but it wasn't kayakable when we were there. The river stream was way too strong and fast. Nonetheless, the river bank was a nice place to sit and relax. We regretted not bringing our bikes. There seemed to have really nicely maintained bike trails, and we would love to return with our bikes!

We've stayed at Mamquam River Campground 4 times now and it's been a great, friendly and intimate camping experience. Many thanks to our host Patrick for providing a welcoming and accommodating well managed campground. The sites are clean and nicely maintained, with nice even tent sites on soft woodchip areas; Patrick and his helpers do a really great job. The location in Squamish is great for our kids to get out on their bikes to explore the local area. Being next to Mamquam river is great for trying your luck at fishing. Access to Squamish ameneites and all the other outdoor areas around Squamish makes Mamquam River Campground a great place to camp. Highly recommended.

Camp staff were great. However, they allowed a party to blast techno music past 1am at the camp. Not considerate towards other campers and super uncool. I’m not talking about a small speaker, this was a legit DJ setup with loudspeakers, they let run for some unknown reason. I could feel the bass in my tent. You get what you pay for. Stay at a nicer campground and get some peace and quiet. Edit: I don’t think anyone has a problem with special event or the music. I do feel there could have been a compromise with the volume.
