About Makoi Belen photography
Hi, my name is Nic, an artist/filmmaker based in Saskatoon, SK. I have started as a photographer early in my career and decided to switch and focus on films around 2015. I had received my art degree from the UofS last 2017 and a diploma in Digital Marketing in early 2022. In my spare time, I watch Netflix and anime, play video games, or learn cool new things from the internet.
I found my passion in filming weddings when I first started doing it. The emotions from the surroundings let me feel that love is magical and it is truly amazing to witness. When I cover a wedding, all I focus on doing is to tell an unforgettable story through the lens of my camera. Words can't express how fulfilling it is to my soul when I deliver the short film to the couple. I feel that making stunning wedding films is my one true calling.

He is clearly knowledgeable about shooting photos in the wide variety of conditions throughout our wedding day (everything from low light for our indoor reception to bright afternoon sunlight on fresh white snow), since all of our pictures turned out amazing! His attention to detail was one of the reasons we chose him as our photographer, and he did not disappoint. Lots of great photos of the rings, reception decorations, dress details, etc. We can't recommend Makoi enough for weddings, engagement photoshoots, or anything else!

He had a vision and knew what he was doing and how to capture the best angles and lighting. He was really excited about getting awesome shots, which is great because we were too! He was professional and knowledgable and was able to offer advice. Our engagement photos were beautiful and we were so happy with how he captured the colours. We have gotten so many compliments on our wedding photos, but also my wedding party and guests commented how great he was at getting shots and being friendly. His second shooter, Robin, was also extremely friendly and equally enthusiastic about getting great shots. I have never had my ego boosted as much as when I they were taking our photos! We were so happy with our wedding photos and got tons of great captures to choose from. I highly recommend Makoi for any photo needs, from casual family photos all the way to formal wedding photos. We have absolutely no regrets.
