Mainstreet Bar & Grill

Well as a local I can tell you we were excited to see the new menu and changes at Mainstreet and looking forward to dining here. We made reservations for 6pm... ordered drinks that took a long time to come but they were good.... ordered our dinner to have it arrive an hour later. I ordered the chicken parmigiana (22.00)....it was 2 very small pieces of chicken with what looked like a slice of cheese on it with almost no tomato sauce and it sat on the side of penne noodles with what tasted like a bad Kraft Dinner...my wife ordered a Cob Salad and again a small piece of chicken, no egg, no bacon....the worst Cob salad she's ever eaten. Our wait staff was friendly and trying her best but I watched owner or manager walking around without Covid Protocols... taking take out orders in the parking lot without a mask...as a new business owner or manager in the community, one would think they would go table to table and introduce themselves or check on the service and food...rather than sit at the bar and chat with their friends. Watching owner/manager out hacking darts with friends in the parking lot then coming backing without washing or sanitizing...not cool! Overall very disappointing I'm sad to say...we won't be rushing back. Well we didn't rush back but last Sunday we decided to try Mainstreet for breakfast. There was only one other customer at the time and we arrived at10:55am to be told breakfast ends at 10:50am but they could accommodate for breakfast this time. I must say, the service was great and the massive breakfast was fantastic! At $17.00 I thought the price was high at first until I saw it and struggled to eat it all. I would recommend Mainstreet for breakfast anyway and will probably try lunch and dinner maybe in the new year....baby steps! I have raised my star to 2 and will continue to do so based on our experiences!

The staff are friendly, the tiki hut is very cool, and the food was tasty!

We waited half an hour to be seated even though there was only one other group of two in front of us. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for our meal. It took so long that I had to take my son home to change his diaper and by the time I got back the food still hadn’t arrived. The prices are outrageous for the food you get. I had a hair in my drink and only saw the waitress when she took our order, delivered our food and accepted payment. My husband couldn’t even chew through the meat it was so tough. Beautiful location, terrible service, quality and quantity.

So, table of 6 for lunch. We were seated straight away. Ordered drinks, 30 minutes later the drinks arrived. She took our orders. An hour and a half later, 90 minutes, the food arrived. IT WAS STONE COLD! All 6 orders. Lunch, not a complicated order. 1 burger was almost raw. So, 2 hours to get a cold meal… 30 minutes after the food arrived, the waitress came back to ask how everything was? When we expressed our displeasure, she said she would see if there was anything they could do. She came back with “We can take 25% off” . None of us said a word. The manager came over and said;” well, this is a lot of money. What do you want me to do about it?” Finally she said that she would give us 50% off because a couple of people had eaten some fries.” This is complete amateur hour. We were so disgusted, we just paid and left. Don’t waste your time! You have been warned

Went there after it reopened under new management. The wait staff and owners were very friendly. The view was fantastic and the food was excellent. Had the Stacked Burger and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend it and can’t wait to go back!!!!

Food and service was excellent but trying to put gravy on fries that is served on a cutting board was a challenge!!

So nice to get back out! Beautiful setting on the lock in Buckhorn. Good social distancing outside. Brisket was delicious. Meatball marinara was great spicy meatballs could use more sauce. Wonderful staff.

Awesome food and service even better. Cassidy is the best server. And many kudos to the team as well. The team works well together. Best customer experience in a very long time !
