He is an expert in hydraulics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and both steady state and transient simulation. He has held key technology roles at Hyprotech, Aspentech, KBC, and Computer Modeling Group (CMG). Additionally, Dr. Hocking has done work for MEG Energy and HTRI. In addition to Madala Software Inc, Dr. Hocking founded Corelium Inc. which provides a scalable simulation platform. Dr. Hocking is the co-author of 6 patents in the heavy oil industry.
