★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lumd Harbour has always been a great place to stop on the way to Desolation Sound. It is very affordable and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Nancy's bakery has awesome cinnamon buns.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I won't be stopping here again. The harbour is crowded and run by incompetent staff who have no experience boating and make poor decisions rafting large boats up to small boats. The boater behind me also said he won't return. Depending where you are coming from and going to, a better places is the Texada Boat Club in Van Anda (on Texada Island) which has excellent docks set up for visitors in a pretty bay an an easy walk up to the store or the pub. To the northwest, you can anchor in the quiet Copeland Islands or just continue an hour or two further to Refuge Cove.
