Our dinner experience at the Lucky Panda was, to say the least, most unlucky! Food was not plentiful and what was there, left a lot to be desired. From the ginger beef that was like gnawing rawhide to tasteless yam tempura, this overpriced buffet made us regret our decision to try this restaurant. Sushi and dessert other than super frosty ice cream were absent. Although clean with friendly staff to greet patrons, this restaurant will not be a venue we recommend to others.

We ate here once when it first opened. At that time the buffet wasn’t open due to covid restrictions. We ordered off the menu and it was very good. Service was good and restaurant was very clean. Then we went to the buffet for lunch..... It was the worst buffet we have EVER experienced! Temperature should be increased as mostly all dishes were luke warm. Wonton soup was tasteless, ginger beef was like chewing on a stick, sweet and sour pork was not fully cooked, sushi was dry and tasteless, bean sprout dish had a bad almost mouldy taste, spicy chicken wasn’t spicy, onion rings were overcooked, tempura yam was mushy, fried rice was greasy and tasteless, broccoli had no seasoning, chicken balls were thickly breaded and the meat inside was dry. In fact all the meat dishes were dry. BBQ duck...not sure it WAS duck. Tasted like pork. Ice cream had ice crystals in it. Overall a very sad lunch experience....we won’t be going there again. Felt sick afterwards. Service was good and restaurant was clean.

The interior was very nice but we had to wait a while for a waitress to come see us. After we got up from our table to get our food from the buffet we were in shock. There was very little food selection and the food the was left from the limited selection was pretty much emptied out from the containers. We thought what ever we will just eat sushi but the waitress said they didn’t have any sushi, which brings me to the question- why advertise sushi when you are constantly running out?

We came for the buffet. The buffet area was clean, and the food was at acceptable temperatures. Good variety for the lunch buffet. The only disappointment was that it is strongly recommend that you have to wear a mask while getting your food at the buffet area. Masks are not mandated anymore, and it seems like an inconvenience for people who don't or can't wear a mask.

I just had lunch here and thought it was delicious. My favourite was the tempura yams and the shumai. I've been there before for lunch and just ordered off the menu for sushi and I found the sushi to be good. It wasn't fishy-smelling or fishy tasting like some of the other places you get sushi from here. I've been here for dinner buffet before as well. I enjoyed it. The sushi was good again and I like that they have dim sum included in the buffet. Overall, the buffet was better or at least equal to other buffets I've been to in the city. The buffet prices are around the same as other buffet prices in the city. The sushi I ordered off the menu was reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is very clean and the staff here are very friendly. I like that they also support other local businesses and I think their $5 blind box meals are a fantastic idea.

I appreciated the layout of the buffet. Paula was especially attentive and pleasant. I loved her service.

We went here tonight for the first time on a whim. The first thing I noticed was how open and clean everything looks upon entering. The host was attentive and gave us the choice to sit at our preferred table. I was happy to see such a large selection of food. I myself don’t eat meat but my boyfriend enjoyed a lot of the meat dishes. I thought the vegetables, other protein options and fish were quite good and fresh. Our friends joined us a bit later and weren’t as hungry; so they were able to order off the regular menu and pack their food for takeout. This was no problem at all for the restaurant staff; it was quick and It looked very fresh as well. The woman who tended to our bills was extremely kind, generous and personable. Overall It was a warm welcome to the neighbourhood, and we will be back :) thank you!

First of all make sure you haul on the door to get in otherwise you might think the place is closed. Even the automatic handicap button doesn't open the door. Inside the place is quite nice ...aside from electrical cords running along the wall to the windows. The rest is a disaster. Seated at a table that had a huge water spill on it. The napkin dispensers are not filled. And in all this amazing Secor, the tables have table numbers on them taped down with packaging tape. Now the scary part..the food. The chicken balls were so hard and dry...and the chicken jnside was way over cooked. The chicken ball itself was pretty bland and tasteless. I had put generous portions of sweet and sour sauce on them as well. It was questionable if it was sweet and sour sauce...pale, thin, bland and tasteless as well and really did nothing to help the chicken balls. Chicken wings...reasonably OK but nothing stellar. Little steam Buns were acceptable because you don't expect them to be bursting with flavour. Spicy chicken...I definitely would not call them spicy...way too much Chibese 5 spice however...with too much breaded coating...and then...bone chips and splinters mixed through out it. Just gross. The veggies were relatively ok but pretty bland as well, bring your own King of Flavour and spread that around like faerie dust. Dessert...I had this tiny square of a coffee flavored dessert that is pretty safe if you're diabetic. Then I had this mini bundt looking cake. Hard, dry, flavorless. I laughed, I cried, I kissed 31$ goodbye ? ? Lol...reading the "owners" response... No I am not exhibiting symptoms of covid. If your handicap door system isn't working, you should probably fix it to be more accommodating to handicap people. I did not pick my table, why would I intentionally pick a dirty table?? And NOBODY made an effort to clean off the spilled liquid the entire time I was there. The cable...like I said, the interior is quite nice but I'd think you would take more pride and do something better then having that cable all over. And if it's for a Valentines day promotion, that's been over for more 2 weeks!! Take it down!! No, after such an unprifessional response...to ask me to come back is pretty laughable. Nope....I would rather eat my exes spaghetti dinner ??
