About Love Nest
Linda Proulx, the owner of Love Nest, prepared the first Love Nest home party in Winnipeg on June 6, 1983. Between 1983 and 1988 Linda had anywhere from 5 to 25 staff in Winnipeg and rural Manitoba doing parties for her. While doing Home Parties Linda operated a store out of the basement of her St. Vital home until November of 1990. Due to customer demand for a storefront operation, Linda expanded Love Nest and opened her first store on St. Anne's Road in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The St. Anne's store was moved to a new larger location further down the same St. Anne's Road on August 16, 1998.
Linda continued to have staff doing parties until 1997. At that time, the product line became so large in our stores, that it was impossible to choose which products to bring to the home parties, so the Home Party division of Love Nest was shut down. Love Nest's first Franchise Location was sold to Diane Houston in 1997 and a store was opened on Main Street. A third location, a franchise was opened at Portage and Westwood in December 1999. The franchise was bought back from the owners on August 1, 2002.
On May 16 2015 the St Anne's Road and Portage Avenues location amalgamated to a modern, more-spacious 1580 Taylor Avenue location.
Our two locations are bright and inviting and our well-trained staff do an excellent job of assisting all our customers with our very large selection of well-priced products..

Toys were absolutely great, you have too many options for your partner and even for yourself either you are a girl or a guy. Staff members were very nice and helpful. What a great store! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During my visit I was very put off. There was a cashier loudly on the phone making personal calls that I could hear, with customers waiting to pay. I did not want to spend an evening waiting in a busy store, and felt this was highly inappropriate for a business, showing poor customer service. I didn't have to wait long with the other cashier, which I appreciated. The store environment was otherwise welcoming, had lots of products and information. The other staff were professional and efficient even for being busy. I wouldn't give stars for the employee on the phone, but would rate the employees who showed respect for customers much higher.
