Longevity Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre was established in October of 2004 by Dr. Frank Wang, an experienced Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor for over 30 years. Before Dr. Frank Wang immigrated to Canada, Dr. Frank Wang had a successful fertility clinic in Taiwan for more than two decades. Dr. Frank Wang is a well known Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor, Chinese herbalist and acupuncturist in Taiwan. Dr. Frank Wang first developed his interest and skill in Chinese medicine from his mother, who is a skilled herbologist, and a well respected Traditional Chinese Medicine gynaecologist. After his youth, Dr. Frank Wang continued his education with Chinese medicine and obtained his practice in Taiwan in 1983. Dr. Frank Wang passed the Alberta Acupuncture Examination and obtained his Registered Acupuncturist Qualification in January of 2004 in Canada. Dr. Frank Wang is an active member of the Alberta Association of Traditional Chinese Medical Doctors and the Calgary Chinese Herbal Medicine Association. As a medical professional, Dr. Frank Wang believes in spending as much time as necessary with his patients and finding the most effective and optimal treatment method.
Dr. Charlie Wang is the son of Dr. Frank Wang, the 3rd generation successor of Wang’s family medicine practice. During his early childhood, Dr. Charlie Wang started his medical journey with his grandmother and his father. In college, Dr. Charlie Wang enrolled in both Western Medicine and Chinese Medicine programs. Dr. Charlie Wang enrolled in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine International Education Center (BUCM) / Alberta College of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM) for Doctor of Acupuncture program and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Charlie Wang completed and succeeded in both programs. By the year of 2008, Dr. Charlie Wang passed the Alberta Acupuncture Examination and obtained his Registered Acupuncturist Qualification. Dr. Charlie Wang later travelled back to Taiwan and taught at China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) as an internal medicine professor. Dr. Charlie Wang is knowledgeable in both Western Medicine and Chinese Medicine from his primary education. Dr. Charlie Wang is compassionate to his patients and dedicated to his profession.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend recommended me to come to see Dr Wang for infertility. We were having trouble to conceive after trying for 7 years. We failed several IVF and we were running out of options. We had a consultation with Dr Wang and he talked about the treatment plan and decision we should take. Dr Wang formulated for my husband and I. I did 10 sessions of acupuncture and 5 months of formula with Dr Wang. After the second month of the treatment, I was successfully conceived and I'm now happily 5 months pregnant. Dr Wang is a very nice person to talk to, he treats his patients like family and friends.

Due to long term stress, we didn't want children in our lives until the recent year. We tried multiple IVF sessions and failed. Despite the obstacles, today, I am officially 21 weeks pregnant with twins. The reason for our success story is Dr Charlie Wang. Dr Wang made medicine for us to take for 7 months before my last IVF session. My symptoms were becoming less and less each month during the treatment. I feel different and refreshed. The formula helped us condition our bodies and shape our health. Not gonna lie, the formula rejuvenated our libido, the sex life got better too (I feel like I'm in my 20's again). My husband and I started our weight program soon after that, and we can now bike for an hour on every run. After IVF session, the morning when we found out that I got pregnant, Dr Wang was the first person that we called. The joy is indescribable. We are extremely grateful to have Dr Wang on our side. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a family-owned business and We've known Dr Wang's family for a long time. They provide honest, reliable and accountable services. Dr Wang is very professional and knowledgeable. Longevity is my family go-to for acupuncture / traditional Chinese medicine for a decade now. Dr Wang used to teach in the university where my father used to work and that's how we know him. I'm writing this review because Dr Wang takes really good care of my family. I have to travel and take flight for my work. Dr Wang cured my chronic insomnia, stress, anxiety, smoking, old neck/shoulder/ back injuries and my long term GI issues. This clinic offers genuine service and the best Chinese medicine in the field. Dr Wang is very straight forward. Due to my work, I had a terrible diet with a smoking problem. Dr Wang told me he will refuse to work on my case if I don't want to change the way how I act. Years forward, I'm glad I listened to his advice and I appreciate his straight-forward personality and never sugar-coated attitude. I honestly can say that I'm in the best shape of my life right now. Do know, this is a not cheap place. The costs of services can be expensive for some people. Acupuncture per session is $95 and medicine can vary between different dosages from $500~$900 per month. However, Dr Wang always makes sure that he finds the best plan for you. For example, we can afford $900 plan and most of the time we will ask for the highest and finest grade for our Chinese medicine formula. But, there was a time when my little niece was having GI problem and Dr Wang gave her the minimum dosage of the formula and the cost was much lesser. Dr Wang said a child doesn't need the same amount as an adult and he did not take advantage of us when we offered to pay more for the medicine. We always feel confident working with Dr Wang whenever we needed help. Dr Wang was able to help my father regulate his blood pressure from 180/90 back to normal 120/80 and help my mother's post-cancer care / menopausal issues. He also wrote formula for one of my friend for infertility and the couple are doing great with the new baby. We are all doing well because of Dr Wang's dedicated hard work. We are very happy and feeling fortunate to know such a great doctor in Calgary. Six thumbs up! ??????

He is great doctor, but is also very friendly with his patients and is always available to to answer any questions I have - big or small. He responds to every single email and is very thorough and detailed in his responses and diagnosis. Before starting any treatment, he does a detailed consultation where he understand your lifestyle, food habits and symptoms - he uses all this information to come up with a treatment plan for you where along with his medication, he suggests specific changes in your diet, lifestyle and sleep habits. So his treatment has a very holistic approach. He has a very calm and positive vibe to him and even if you’re in doubt, I guarantee you’ll feel totally fine and reassured after talking to him. You’ll never feel like you’re battling your challenges alone. It is rare to find this quality in people. My treatment is ongoing but I am sure that I will overcome the health challenges I’m facing right now with Dr. Wang’s treatment and I’ll be sure to leave an update soon.
