★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son and I recently attended (and passed) Alan's 2 day PAL/RPAL course, it was both informational, and entertaining, other than the fact that he knows way more mid-80's movie trivia (brush up on that before you go...) than even I did, and I was likely the oldest person there (including Alan)...
I've fired plenty of firearms over the past 20-25 years, but I picked up some valuable nuggets and tips, and enjoyed some of the historical items as much as the current firearm information. Both my son and I agreed that it was a very good use of our time and appreciated Alan's delivery of the training.
All in all, a very good spend of two days for anyone looking to do their PAL/RPAL testing and certification.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As someone who has been to 3 different high schools, a training institution, a college and a university, I can tell you that when a class goes over 30 minutes my attention drops significantly and I usually end up falling asleep, if not struggling for my life to stay awake. I dreaded coming in on a Saturday morning and committing to a 9 to 6 on my day off, only to do it again on Sunday. But I am so happy I did. I have never had an instructor quite like Alan. His passion and knowledge made the time fly by, and before I knew it, it was 5:30 and the first exam was being handed out. Sunday was more of the same with a more relaxed atmosphere and a lot more discussion from everyone now that we were more comfortable with each other. All in all, a weekend very well spent and I would definitely recommend this safety course to everyone looking to get their PAL/rPAL or just looking to get a better understanding of firearms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 of us took the course together and we would all highly reccomend this place. Allen is an absolutely fabulous instructor who is very thorough and puts a comedic edge on things to keep it interesting and all of us fascinated in what he has to teach. This man knows his stuff. If i could give him 10 stars i would. If you are considering getting your license, this is the place to go , hands down. Thank you so much and we will see you in the future for more courses and maybe even our restricted!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alan is the man! Such a great course. My fiance and I took the non restricted and restricted firearms course with Alan and it went fantastic. The whole experience was a lot of fun, highly educational and it made learning about firearms fun while still focusing on the safety of it all. I recommend this course!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took both the Non-restricted and restricted courses over a weekend, Alan is an animated (not monotone in the least) and easy to follow instructor with a sense of humour. He is obviously passionate about both safety and a person's ability to possess and use firearms. Lowest prices in the city, and the small class size means that each student gets all their questions answered and individualized guidance. At the end, Alan walked us through some of the more unclear procedures after we get our license, and provided a package with all the paperwork we'll need to mail.
Would definitely recommend anyone looking to obtain their PAL or RPAL to take their safety training at LiveFire.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding. Took the non-restricted/restricted combo over a weekend along with my wife. Great instruction from someone who is positively enthused about what he teaches. Makes it a wonderful couple of days which pass quite quickly. He brings it across with clarity and takes whatever time he needs to ensure everyone understands. I'll never look at a firearm the same way. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alan put on an amazing course. He definitely knows his stuff. I would recommend if you're taking PAL and RPAL you come here. It was very informative, thorough and fun considering all the info you take in. After taking the course I feel I have better confidence and understanding of firearms.
