I have never received such poor customer service in the matters of resolving an issue such as a DOA. I have purchased one of my favourite beers "Mountain Crest'' from the store. When I got home to drink in, it was sour as if it went bad. I popped open two others (Not fully open) to taste and it was sour. The next day I took the beer to get an exchange. I exchanged it for an eight pack of Boxer Lager, (made by the same brewery by the way) Thinking that there was no way this beer would have gone sour, I opened a can and took one sip and immediately spat it out as it also had gone bad. I contacted the liquor store I purchased it from and they said that there was no way that an additional eight pack has gone bad. I filled a small sample for my father to taste it to confirm that the beer had gone bad and he simply made the same reaction. We went to the liquor store to refund my money, however the owner refused and basically called us liars. The situation got escalated as the owner began to raise his voice to the point of almost yelling. We offered them to taste it for themself on an unopened can and yet they still refused. They told me to call the brewery regarding the beer simply implying that it was not their responsibility for taking back the product that has gone bad which they sell. The next day I contacted the brewery about the situation. They said to me themselves, to go to the liquor store and get a refund for the beer that has gone bad. A couple days later I got refunded the money. However, as I was getting refunded the money, one of the owners (As far as I am aware of) continuously questioned me as to why I was returning the eight pack of beer. One of the questions was β€œWhy did you buy this beer, if you’re not going to drink it?”. I basically explained that it was bad, after probably two minutes of pretty much the same question being asked, we both went separate ways. The issues of this matter have been resolved, however when it came to customer service, Liquor City lacked in such a category for the issue stated above. Let’s just say, I do not plan on ever returning nor would I recommend Liquor City to anyone I know. Overall my suggestion for this liquor store is to possibly revisit their customer service policies to avoid any future complications they may encounter.

My son, a regular at this store, went to the store first bought Mountain Crest beer and upon tasting it found out it was sour. He opened a couple of cans to taste them in case it was just one can and took the beer back because it was all sour. The owner took the beer back in exchange but then my son found out the Boxer beer was sour too. So not sure how that can even happen but I tasted too and it was rancid. The owner argued with my son and refused refund. I went there and backed my son up even offering to let the owner sample the remaining 5 cans, but he refused to try it and basically called us liars, and refused to give back the money. After some argument and us leaving, he came out and said he would call his rep an might give us money back if the rep said it was ok. I'm cautioning everyone to not go there and buy those beers. We are just waiting to see if the owner comes through, but it left a bad taste in our mouths being called liars by not believing us, and then arguing with a customer who goes there repeatedly. He was willing to lose a customer over it which tells me something about the owner and his business ethics.
