Le steakhouse Rib N Reef

Short review for Rib N Reef i went a few years ago for my birthday. I wasn’t big on reviews then, I never got a chance to say thank you to Nick if I’m not mistaken Best waiter. Beautiful restaurant very classy, no complications with parking, Amazing food, exceptional staff and very clean. We even got an explanation with visuals on steak sizes and types, drinks were amazing. Hope to come back soon.

I visited Wednesday Evening. I was honestly excited. A Steakhouse with a Cigar Lounge!? How could you go wrong? I tried to make a reservation as it was a 30 minute drive from the hotel. It wouldn’t let me, as they only take reservations for guest of 2+. I headed that way anyway. When I got there and walked in, the hostess was rather cold. Asked if I had a reservation, I told her I had tried to make one, but was denied as it’s just myself. She asked if I wanted to sit as the bar. I said I would rather have a table. (I wish at this point I had been told, you can sit in the cigar lounge and eat) I was seated in the bar area. I sat there for quite some time. No one came by. Another couple was sat next to me. A server finally stopped by and asked if I would like a drink. So I ordered a cocktail. More time went by. The couple next to me ordered drinks. More time. They ordered there appetizers. More time. Their drinks came out and they ordered their dinners. More time. Finally another server came over and asked if I needed anything. I said yes I’d love to order, I’m starving. I put my order in with this server. The one that started with me never came back, he walked by a few times, but never stopped. My food came out and another person brought it out. I was never asked if I’d like another cocktail, more water or anything else for that matter. I got the 12oz roast beef and it was very good. No complaints with the food that evening. Was I shunned because I was alone? Because I’m covered in tattoos? Because I look like I might not tip? I got out of here fairly cheap. I still tipped 25% even though this is the worst service I’ve had in the past couple years. Neither of them deserved it, but I’m not that person either. I was going to rate the place a single star. BUT, I came here for a cigar as well. So, I went upstairs. And let me tell you. The two ladies upstairs completely and utterly changed the whole evening. I stayed for another 4 hours drinking and smoking cigars. It was like two completely different establishments. Like I said earlier. I wish I had known I could eat up there. I would of had service were I didn’t have to beg to order, and beg for a cocktail. They were pleasant to talk, attentive to everyone in the room. I can’t say I’ll be back to eat downstairs, but I’ll return to visit the cigar lounge and the great staff upstairs. I’d suggest sorting out the rest, it’s embarrassing.

$$$$ Really great Steakhouse the service is impecable also at the level they are it's a requirement The food is delicious and well presented the made easy by showing each type of steak u can buy, from a tray. Amazing Now the main thing is the price and its understandable. if it's what you're looking for it will satisfy u, but for simple person this might be too much. 7/10

Filet mignon was dry but service&performance was on point. Not sure about the wooden plate they use for tartare (doesn’t seem very clean)

Everything there was excellent. There a great wine selection and an exquisite menu. I tried the beluga caviar which was nicely presented and what to say about the steak!! The portion is very generous which is reflected in the price. My favourite was the caesar salad that they make right in front in you!

Amazing food, if you like great steaks & seafood this is the place for you. Warm, comfortable, elegant atmosphere. Excellent wine (like really nice)& drink selection. We had the hot platter, bakes oysters we’re well seasoned and perfectly done. Grilled octopus was nicely charred with red onions and a hint of fresh dill. Jumbo grilled garlic shrimp we’re amazing. For our mains we enjoyed 2 rib steaks, done perfectly to our requested cook. Smooth tasty bacon cheese Montecarlo potato. No room left to have any dessert unfortunately. Definitely will be back to try some of the smoked salmon and the chateaubriand.

Good food and amazing service. They also have a variety of good drink and a cigar lounge. I put 4 stars because the price are pretty high for the quality of food.

We went here before the lockdown, restaurant was extremely packed, we had to wait awhile for them to setup a new table for us. Service was very slow but it’s understandable because of how busy the restaurant was. I ordered dry-aged steak. Which was perfectly cooked to my liking and tasted delicious. My partner ordered giant grilled shrimps. Which were also very flavourful and delicious. I really enjoyed my experience but probably would’ve enjoyed it even more if the restaurant wasn’t super packed.
