I had a terrible experience. I was doing calls out to see which daycares were available in this area. I was incredibly shocked at Principal Edith Saurina's tone. She was short, condescending, and incredibly rude with me once she found out my daughter was too old for her school (she's almost 4). On the bright side, I was able to get an idea of what kind of place I would have sent my daughter to. Not a great person to represent a daycare that works with small children. I would not recommend going here or even calling to try.

I phoned this facility to enquire about space availability. I talked to the administrator who gave me a lot of useful information about the program. She was also very approachable and knowledgeable about the Montessori method of education. Even though she couldn’t accommodate our needs (we needed an earlier opening time) she was very professional and courteous about it.

I had the opportunity to visit this school and was very impressed by the amazing environment and the beautiful playground. The Principal gave me a very detailed tour of the facility. I learned a lot about Montessori Education! Her professionalism and positive attitude made me feel comfortable about having my daughter attend this school very soon. Highly recommended!

Had a tour with the owner the other day and it left quite the impression on us! She is highly knowledgeable about Montessori education and is a pleasure to deal with. The space is also very beautiful! Bright and very spacious. We look forward to having our daughter start here very soon!

We have seen great care and kindness for the students from Edith and the staff of Le Soleil. They have made a sincere effort to get to know all the students as individuals to best suit their needs. We have also seen noticeable growth in our child’s cognitive and problem solving skills around the home since enrolment. Very happy to have found Le Soleil Montessori.

Montessori isn’t for anyone. And we were initially nervous when we enrolled our child at Le Soleil Children’s House. We’re so happy, however, that we did. Over a short of period of time, we’ve seen our child develop remarkable behaviours and skills – ones we wouldn’t have been able to teach her by ourselves. Her hand-eye coordination, for example, is more precise. She’s more independent than before she enrolled. Most importantly? She’s genuinely excited to go to school. Without question, this is due to the diligence, warmth and care of Le Soleil’s educators and their approach. Our child has (literally) said as much. And we’re very grateful to have seen the outcomes of their work firsthand.

I would like to share with parents the wonderful experience I had today when I visited Le Soleil Montessori Children’s House. From my first phone inquiry to the scheduling of today’s appointment and to the tour of this facility, everything was handled in a very professional manner by the Principal Edith SAURINA. I loved this school: there was so much attention to details, inside the classroom and also in the amazing playground! I am definitely considering this facility for our daughter’s first group and Montessori experience.

TL;DR: An amazing place for children to learn and grow surrounded by passionate educators. Our daughter has attended Le Soleil Children's house since she was 2.5 and I have observed how the Montessori curriculum, environment, and teachers have supported her in the ways that work best for her personality, learning style, and growing understanding of the world around her. Our daughter adores her teachers, and they display nothing but care and attention for her best interest. Sometimes, this means that I as a parent need to let go of control and trust their expertise and observations of how my daughter interacts with the montessori environment. This can be uncomfortable as a parent, however the results are clear. The classroom is peaceful, beautiful, and built to encourage a love of learning. The outdoor play area is thoughtfully designed for children to play, socialize, and build community intentionally. A visit to the school is all it takes to observe how happy and cared for the children are. They are curious, independent, and respectful of the people and things around them. It sometimes seems hard to believe how peaceful the classroom is! One piece of advice I would have for prospective parents: be thoughtful and reflective about what may work for your child, it may be different than what would work for you. The priority of the children's house is the children - I am grateful to know and trust this.
