★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice retro decor, awesome drinks, mixologist new all his (numerous) gins and offered generous / helpful descriptions. The cheese plate wasn't as generous, though adequate. We weren't told which cheeses we were given, and had to ask at the end of the meal. All in all a positive experience and I will look forward to being back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What was most interesting about this bar was that there is a DJ and people end up dancing. One cocktail I tried was really good (the one with almonds in it) , my friend ordered one with framboise but was a little disappointed by it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent drinks and very friendly staff. We spent probably three hours here on a quiet night drinking, snacking, and chatting with the bartenders. For cocktails, the highlight was a tiki drink with milky sake, yuzu, and sesame (I forget the name). I'll make it a priority to return next time I'm in Montreal. Special shout out to Priscilla and Manu for indulging us in a conversation on American vs Canadian politics.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bartenders are very knowledgeable and have a way of making you feel at home. The drinks are amazing! Great craftsmanship in each glass. If you're looking for a good date spot or somewhere to just chill with friends I suggest Bar Le Royal.
Also check out their $15 oysters and spritz special! Worth it!
