A	Ana Masut \| ico-D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great experience in this place during a weekday stay in Québec. The design of this converted monastery is on point. The rooms are minimalist and the ethic is very much relaxation (no TV in the room, love it!). The beds are beyond comfy the tubs are deep and luxurious and there is a private courtyard where you can lounge with book in the privacy of a beautifully landscaped space. Staff is a little inexperienced, be prepared for things to move a little slowly. Great for a romantic getaway.
E	Emily on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really convenient spot, their back door leads right to a main street with many restaurants and stores~ The room is extremely simple, quaint, clean, and quiet. The perfect space to reflect/journal/meditate. While the furniture is minimal, every object is of high quality; the bed was HEAVENLY to sleep in. Super clean and new Staff is are all nice and helpful. And I enjoyed the offered yoga session very much, really calming~ Considering that the bathrooms are shared, I think the price can be a tad cheaper.

Upon arrival though there was no information provided especially about their offer for Spa Strom nor did they ask if we wanted to book massages or reserve dinner at the hotel. They just checked us in. Staff is not trained on hospitality whatsoever. This is supposed to be a place where caregivers can recharge and feel cared for. They need to work onnthe front desk staff. They never asked if we wanted more towels and we were thwre for 4 nights and room service was not provided so the little details that show they care were missing entirely.
a	alice white on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A wonderful place to experience the feel or early Quebec if you love old architecture and early 17th century history of Quebec. The history of the Augustinian nuns as well as the building of the property are equaling amazing. I would recommend this Monastere to anyone wanting a respite who does not require luxury. The sparseness of the cells actually enhances a contemplative atmosphere; does not distract (as long as your chambre is not adjacent to Toilettete.) The vault is the most interesting space, I believe I have ever encountered that is not created by the hand of God. I felt very safe and comfortable while enjoying this quiet and beautiful Monastere. Architecture and staff can not be rivaled at any 5 start property. Music and Art are an added bonus! I will return.

R	Rachel Lyubovitzky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was really looking forward to a meal in a new and interesting setting and that sure lived up to it. It looks like a small communal hall with long tables with proper separations to accommodate for COVID. Some historical pictures on the walls. But that’s where the exciting part ended. The restaurant smelled like a hospital. The staff was going about sour faced and not very accommodating. You only get 3 items for dinner - your only choice is a main dish.. soup and desert are pre-set. The soup was inedible. And it came served in the bowls that came out of the dishwasher that needed to be serviced - it had that characteristic stale plate smell. By the faces of other people in the room, they shared our feedback. Maybe the waiters had to eat it too? :) The main dish was ordinary supermarket quality. It was fresh but done, as my mom would say, without love. For example, mine was a sheppard pie - a pile of beef spam, corn kernels, mashed potatoes and a salad served on a wooden tile. The desert was nice, hence three stars. Yes, it is a monastery, but if one gets into the food / hospitality business as they had, more effort has to go into creating a positive experience

I liked that the Augustinian Nuns' message of health, well-being and healing is present throughout your stay, from the messages inscribed on the walls to the healthy meals offered at the restaurant. I look forward to returning again soon.
H	Holly J on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Short walk up the hill from the train station. Nice rooms with shared bathroom down the hall for the authentic section. Very quiet and cozy beds. Museum was much more extensive than we thought. Private tour of the chapel was very well done.
