About Lasting Strides Equine Assisted Learning
Why Horses?
Horses are incredibly perceptive and sensitive to our emotions. They cannot over-think a situation and are unable to lie, therefore providing instant and totally honest reactions to their handler's emotions. This allows facilitators a better look into the client's personality, and may bring to light feelings the client themselves were not even aware of.
Horses are able to teach us so much about ourselves if we are willing to learn how to listen. At Lasting Strides, our horses are valued as teachers and teammates. In all of our programs, participants will learn how to read their body language cues to improve their horsemanship abilities, which we will always relate back to ways they can improve things in their life away from the barn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I knew I was going to ride horses, but I didn't know how much fun I'd have doing it!!!! I feel like I got the whole experience, we brushed and saddled the horses, walked them around to get them comfortable with us before we rode them. We did a blindfold challenge, got to do obstacles with the horses and also had a race! I had so much more fun than I thought I would, the owners were great, answered all of our questions and made us feel super comfortable! Thanks again for this amazing experience ❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our couple horse back riding session ! Jade and her assistant were awesome! My husband had previous experience with horses and I had none but Jade made it fun for both of us! I totally recommend this experience!
