Our story officially began in 1983, when Barry Lammle and his brother saw an opportunity in the retail market - which lead them to open the first 3 stores in their hometown of Calgary, Alberta. Their mission was simple: to address the real needs of everyday Albertans - those looking for a Western retail brand that provides better service, selection, and quality. As a result, Barry spent the next 39 years creating a lifestyle brand experience that welcomes people from all walks of life.
At that time, Barry’s focus was split between retail and ranching, which put him in an ideal position to learn firsthand what our future customers valued. A rancher first, but his retail experience and expertise has always been his true strength. His understanding of his customer’s needs, and his commitment to support local businesses and communities is what has helped Lammle’s become what it is today. We take pride in the fact that those who rely on us as their western clothing supplier are the same families, friends and neighbors we’ve stood beside through decades of good times and hard times alike — and our dedicated employees in our 23 stores across Western Canada wouldn’t dream of offering them anything but our very best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give this place a zero I would but I can’t so it’s a one. I have been to a lot of Lammles and this one no one greeted me when I came in the door. Nobody was warm and friendly except for this wavy blonde haired young lady. So she has nothing to do with the rating I also got helped by this other dark-haired lady she had a scowl on her face, she was very grumpy and I wanted to leave right away if it wasn’t for that young blonde haired lady

I have never been treated so rudely while shopping!… And after reading other reviews I see I’m not the only one…I am truly disgusted at the way the staff treated myself and my family we felt rushed and as if my family and I were an inconvenience to them…. I’m probably more sickened that I spent a lot money there instead of saying something and walking out. If you can avoid going to the Lammles on Calgary trail I’d highly suggest never stepping foot in there.

Would definitely recommend! The rest of the employees were also friendly and ready to help if needed. Lots of selection at this location.

Bit; was a quick and easy selection
Boots; didn't quite have my size with the met-guard that I need (had to go a size up).
Jeans; had the style I liked, but sadly only in the one (slightly lighter) colour.
Normally I wouldn't be overly happy about this outcome. But my interactions with Julia made for a fantastic shopping experience.
At the start of everything she was quick to notice my entrance, paid attention to my requests, and directed me to the various items I needed in the most efficient manner possible. Despite the above mentioned blows to my expectations regarding availability of your stock, she delivered them with the softness of a fist in a velvet glove. She was knowledgeable, cheerful, upbeat, and humourous, going through everything you guys had before confirming the particular item I wanted wasn't available. She successfully did her best to lighten the mood and blunt my disappointment as she delivered the bad news. I'm not sure what a velvet-clad, heaven-sent angel like her needs to work a Lammle's for, but I am glad she was there to help me out today. I've never been happier to be told a store doesn't have exactly what I was looking for. She delivers a phenomenal customer experience, and should immediately be promoted above her peers. If a position isn't available, make one up.
