Lakewood Ranch Doodles

We could not be happier with our Lakewood puppy. She has been with us for three weeks and has such a sweet temperament, is intelligent and easy to train, wonderful with our grandchildren and such a loved member of our family. Tyson and Vanessa were so great to deal with and answered all our questions. We are local, so have met some Lakewood dogs on our walks and been impressed with them all. We appreciate the abundance of information on feeding and training etc. that Lakewood provided, and recommend them highly if you are looking for a pup with a wonderful temperament.

I am updating my review (see original review below) to show some pictures of our Kipper now. She is almost eight months old and is a total delight! We are blessed to have her in our family. She is fun, curious and active. Her personality evolves as she grows and we enjoy every moment with her. Lakewood Ranch takes such care in breeding these dogs. We know that it is a result of them that we have such a wonderful family member. ******************************************* We had a wonderful ball of joy join our family this month. She is a healthy and happy F1b coated Goldendoodle and our hearts are full. She came to us well-adjusted and familiar with the crate. Although the rules of the ranch seem strict at first, we realize that the information provided, the holistic approach and all of the guidance added up to us getting our new healthy family member. We use the information they have provided regularly and appreciate the access they have given us to their in-house trainer. We are looking forward to our journey with our Doodle. Thank you.

From start to finish zero complaints about Lakewood ranch doodles!! Our puppy is amazing, everything we hoped and more! Tyson and the team were beyond helpful, knowledgable and obvious animal lovers. They think of everything! Providing helpful education, discount codes for both food and pet insurance, a comprehensive take home kit and the offer of follow up support after pup has gone home. I was also offered a puppy way before I thought I would be! I was referred by a friend who has a doodle from these guys, she is amazing as well. Hands down 10/10 recommend!

We researched breeders for many months before deciding on Lakewood and we are so glad we did. We waited about 5 months for our F1 goldendoodle. Our wait was only slightly longer than anticipated and Tyson was always very responsive when we requested an update. We knew Lakewood was a quality breeder after reviewing the information on their website and experiencing first hand their dedication to educating their dog owners. Tyson and the dog trainers were wonderful at our 6 week visit and 8 week pick up. They ensured we were well prepared and supported before we took our beautiful Fleury home with us. The weekly pictures and videos were such a nice gesture. Fleury is now 5 months old and we can't say enough positive things about her. She is very smart and responsive to training so far. She is sweet, affectionate, playful and a little goofy sometimes. We couldn't have asked for a dog with a more wonderful personality. Thank you Lakewood for a great experience!

For context, our dog is 4 years old. We brought him home in September 2017. I want to start by saying the positives: - I love my dog very very much and would never trade him for the world - the breeder was communicative in the beginning and we visited the farm twice before purchasing our dog (in another review she mentioned she doesn’t allow visits for anyone who doesn’t buy a dog, this is a lie. Both times we visited before we put any money down) - she let us visit our puppy when he was born before he was ready to be taken home - she sent us pictures and updates so we could see how he was doing Now onto the negatives that will explain why I’m leaving a 1 star review: - we were promised a medium sized dog (max 55lbs), which is clearly stated on their website and they repeated to me numerous times over text too. Our dog is 75lbs which is too big for anyone in my family to handle, but we manage. - we were promised a dog with a good temperament. Our dog is anxious and barks at strangers and other dogs. We’ve socialized him since he was a puppy, brought him to dogtopia where he can run around in a controlled environment with other dogs, introduced him to our friends, sent him for numerous different trainings and continue to train him at home. - our dog also tends to growl at us when unhappy - the “lifetime breeder support” that they guarantee you, is just them copy and pasting things from google. The communication is extremely poor when you leave with your puppy. - her daughter trimmed his nails for us before we left and she made him bleed. She took responsibility for it but didn’t really offer much help or advice - please do not point fingers like you have with other one star reviews and blame the owners for not knowing how to care for their dogs properly. We have done so much research and care for our dog a lot. We’ve spoken to a lot of different experts and they all say that this is his personality. Again, not the personality we were promised. Our dog is now 4 years old and has improved A LOT due to his maturity and our constant training with him, however we are still afraid when we walk him and we see other dogs because he gets very excited and becomes hard to handle. Again, we have trained him, socialized him, and even hired a dog walker to help with his behaviour during walks. We have invested so much and frankly the service this breeder provided is very poor. I would never trade my dog for the world, I love him so much. But I wouldn’t recommend this breeder to anyone. Another friend just got a doodle from a different breeder and it’s personality is much better than mine when I brought him home. From the way this breeder has responded to other negative reviews, you can tell they aren’t nice people and get very defensive. This is why I took so long to even write a review. And just to reiterate, in the beginning we did text them numerous times asking for support but they just copy and pasted things from google.

It’s our first family dog and we’re happy we went with Lakewood. Our dog’s temperament with dogs and people is truly amazing. We were very happy with the process from beginning to end and would use them again.

We went to look at a doodle that we had seen online for my son with Autism 2 yrs ago. Nick ended up picking a dog who was returned to the breeder from the Taffy litter instead Hence the dogs name now Taffy! He is one of the best dogs I have ever trained, learned very quickly. Also has very good temperament. I have recommended Lakewood Ranch Doodle to a quite a few people.

We adopted a male F1B red labradoodle in August of 2021. As first time dog owners, we are sure we made the right decision to adopt our pup from Lakewood Ranch Doodles. They taught us everything we needed to know about raising a new puppy. They patiently provided support via email, phone calls and their website. They gave expert advice that proved they are professional. If you are in the market for a pup, they are the best facility we researched.
