★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a cozy and genuine Italian place. We were hungry and we could not find anything near De La Salle Park. Searched restaurant and this Lakeside Pizzeria was highly rated. We walked 15 minutes to reach there. Ordered pizza and pasta. Didn't expect such delicious and high quality pizza and pasta. The quality of food is high. Owners are Italian, so friendly. Ice cream was also good. One point of improvement might be improving the interior, chairs and tables, windows and walls. With these improvements and this quality of food I am sure this place will be blasting. Thanks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband really likes the chicken parmesan sandwich here. I've tried the gelato and it was good as well. The only thing I was disappointed with was the pizza. I prefer an authentic neoplitan pizza, but even other types of Italian thin crust pizzas are great. I just found the crust didn't have the consistency I was looking for and the margarita pizza wasn't made the way I am used to when I go to Italian restaurants. That could be on me, but I was expecting slices of fresh mozzarella and basil, and this was very different. No slices of fresh mozzarella...it was like shredded cheese and cut up tomatos with no basil. Both kinds of pizzas I tried here weren't my thing. I would love if this place made a truly authentic neoplitan pizza, but maybe this is traditional from a different region (but nothing like any real Italian pizza ive ever had). I considered giving this place a 3 star because I really didn't like the pizza, but i do really like grabbing other things here. Overall, I don't recommend the pizza, but the sandwiches and gelato are good and the owners were always very nice. The location is also great and I would for sure recommend stopping by for either of those things.

To begin, the woman who was behind the counter serving pizza was not friendly or helpful and it felt like we are inconveniencing them by ordering pizza. I ordered a margarita pizza and asked for no cheese (due to dietary restrictions). The woman said that if we don’t want cheese on it she won’t make the pizza for us. So we settled on light cheese and she shrugged it off. We were expecting a beautiful margarita with (light) bocconcini cheese, tomatoes and basil. But we got quite the contrary. Instead, we received a pre-frozen piece of flat bread with below average tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. This is not worth $16.50 and the rude service. What a rip off, this looked like such a lovely little establishment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered takeout from Lakeside Pizzeria and we were very disappointed. We ordered from their online menu and didn't receive what we ordered.
Expectation: Baby Spinach salad - apple slices, Walnuts, Goat cheese & Honey lemon dressing.
Reality: A styrofoam container filled with spinach soaked in balsamic dressing. Not a single other topping.
Expectation: At the Point pizza - cherry tomatoes, Arugola, Ricotta cheese & Prosciutto
Reality: No cherry tomatoes, no arugula and no ricotta.
It was very expensive and this really just feels like a rip off. They should have told us on the phone when we ordered that they didn't have the proper ingredients to make our order. The food lacked flavour and was just thrown together without care.
We won't be back!
