★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience. Owner is rude and treated us terribly. Parked our car, purchased his overpriced food, and he told us we could only stay there for 10 minutes max. What's the point of being "Lakeview Grocery" if you don't even have time to view the lake while you eat your expensive iced cream cone?? Definitely do not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I saw in the reviews the owner states that he can close the parking lot when it's full. I am a resident in the area and have been to the parking lot before. The owner straight up lied in his responses. He blocks off the parking lot even when it's completely empty, and he yells at anyone who tries to park at this PUBLIC PARKING LOT. It's very frustrating to see the owner gets away with it and ruins our community.
The town has to do something about it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great store right across Willow Wharf. The owners are friendly, sweet and welcoming. We always stop by here whenever we visit the lake. The Snacks are a bit pricey compared to other stores but the ice-cream is well worth it especially since it comes with a great view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriend and I were looking to get some ice-cream while on vacation in the area. I have a peanut allergy and asked the owner politely if he could scoop our ice-cream from a new container to avoid cross contamination. The bucket of the one flavour we asked for was nearly empty as it was so I thought this was a reasonable request. I would have understood if the owner refused to meet this request if they did so with any respect whatsoever for their potential customer. The owner was however, incredibly rude and told us that we could "take it or leave it." This man was visibly angry with us and we quickly left the shop.
This was an unpleasant experience and I suggest that the owner gain some respect for his clientele and make a minimal effort to demonstrate some customer service or basic decency.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good local grocery / cafe. It serves good ice cream and they also make barbecue sausages. It became a tradition to pick some at the end of a ride along the shore. It is Kawartha ice cream ?.
Store accepts cash.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lightly stocked with snacks, refreshments and fishing things. Owner was friendly to us and although he didn’t have the cup of joe hot and ready (close to closing) he did offer other suggestions. There’s a hot dog cart and an assortment of ice cream treats too.
I feel bad for the reviews being so low due to parking. It’s limited access and he’s trying to keep the space available to those that come and go. Both his property and the park display clearly 20min parking only. If you want to stay longer, there’s paid parking nearby.
ATM is available as it is cash only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little local family run business right by the lake. Super friendly service and everything is kept very clean with really fair prices considering there are no other stores around. Plenty of snack and drink options for your day at the park or beach across the street. They also have some really nice hot food options like hotdogs, sausages, burgers, fries and even fish and chips. We tried the BBQ’d Hotdog and Sausages which were grilled fresh to order with nice toppings options available as well. We also tried their Ice Cream which was awesome as they had many flavours to choose from so you’re bound to find something you like. Will be guaranteed to return here again when we’re in the area as I’m looking forward to trying some of their other options ????
