I have a real love for IPA's. I was always game to try a variety of brewers' offerings until I started looking closer at Lake of Bays (LOB). I first stumbled on "Early Warning" and it became a favourite for its citrusy flavour. Then I tried "Stand Down" when it first got released. WOW! Stand Down is so good that you to sit up and pay attention. It is so good! Stand Down really convinced me that the LOB craft team has my palate nailed. Since then I've been enjoying Flight Plan [DIPA], Starboard [NEIPA], and limited runs like Rosseau. I have come to conclude that LOB offers the flavours and styles of IPA's that I value most. I do continue to try other brewer's offerings that catch my eye at the LCBO but I usually feel like I am wasting my money: LOB is is so hard to beat. Needless to say, I now order direct from LOB most of the time and save myself the trouble of driving down to the LCBO.

Well worth a visit! We were here during the release of their pumpkin ale. Beer, food, games. Overall, the brewery is nice to see and the staff are very friendly! They also do brewery tours.

This place is a solid 4 stars. They have a good selection of beer, especially IPAs, though I only really liked one of them (Apex). The smell on the patio takes a while to get used to, I guess it’s from the fermenting beer? Anyway, otherwise it was a good experience and the food, albeit limited, was good (got the chicken sandwich).

Lake of Bays, Near Zero. Lake of Bays make one of the best non-alcoholic beers I have had. Full of flavour, full bodied Pale Ale. Easy drinking. 25 calories, 3g carbs per 473ml can. Highly recommended if your looking for an alcohol free beer.

Whaaaaaaaat Low Tide is only 90 calories for this big bad IPA! I love the hoppy taste too, lots of citrus and so damn good. Most craft beers are so high in alcohol, that I get a wicked headache, but not with low tide, as it’s only 2.5% and so flavourful, that I can’t believer it’s an IPA-Thank you so much!!

A great tour with their head brewer and some tasty brews afterwards. A slow taproom with the timing of the year and the dreariness of the day, but people were steadily popping through to grab cans and fill growlers. A nicer day would have had the fire on the patio going and a few more pints consumed. For another day.

Had to stop here on the way through, back to Toronto. A real craft brewery, with good beer and good sausage. This was just before Iron Man Muskoka, The place was busy with people training for the big day. I had the #EarlyWarning Juicy IPA, and the Oktoberfest sausage, I even got a sticker for a friends beer fridge. they didn’t have my size in T-shirt or would got one, might order one online. great place, great people, great beer.
