★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a Sfolia cake at what was half the price of another nearby bakery. thinking I found a deal. Part of me wondered what the difference could possibly be. At the end of the day, I was on a budget so I went with it without much more investigation – that part is on me.
Of course, like in most cases the 'you get what you pay for' adage rang true. It was a very disappointing experience. While it tasted fresh, I had to search and poke around the layers to find any strawberry filling, which was very, very thinly laid (i imagine this would be true with their other filling types as well). It was basically flakey layers with way too much creme on top and in between – meh. My suggestion would be to have a photo or display cake with a cross section of what the customer can expect. Put yourself in the customer's shoes. I'd say I got what I paid for, but it was unsatisfactory. Lesson learned.
Otherwise, the cake was beautifully decorated. If you just wanna cake for 'show' and a one-off occasion where you don't care much for the participants or won't be seeing them again, this is your spot.
Wouldn't be ordering cake from here in the future. I'll take my chances with the other more expensive option next time around.

Service is always exceptional and the food/pastries are always fresh. They make cannolis in the back (that’s why you can’t find them on display)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to the plaza for the first time today to grab an espresso and a breakfast sandwich this morning at 8:45am. My colleague and I sat on the bench out front for less than 5 minutes to chat before starting our work day. This store had no customers. The owner came out and kicked us off the bench Rudely saying that it’s for his customers only and we were not allowed to sit outside on a small bench on the sidewalk…. Completely ridiculous. I have no idea if there food is good or not but the owner was a jerk to us and I wouldn’t recommend doing business with a person like that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic Italian bakery. Everything is super fresh and made the old school way. Their cakes are delicious, pastries always fresh, and donuts light without a greasy taste. In terms of pastries, we always get their sospiri- a traditional Italian pastry that not all Italian bakeries offers. You will not be disappointed-do yourself a favor and get one!
