I always feel so thankful after walking out of the Centre with my son...his confidence level in math and reading has gone leaps and bounds. It's my desire to have my son ahead of the curve and grade level he is in...and Kumon is helping us reach our short term goals every week. I am certain in no time, with the help of Joyce and her team, my son will be at a level beyond his age! Thank you to everyone for the continued support you give to my son.

When I started Kumon, I had trouble with multiplication, let alone division and fractions. Now, I'm set to finish the math program in two years! Ms. Coffey and her staff are helpful, concise and clear when explaining new concepts and always encouraging their students to reach new heights.

He was the last kid in his class to learn his alphabet, he was below grade level in reading and reading comprehension for all of first and second grade. By grade three, I was concerned that his lack of reading skills would start to hinder him in other subjects. I talked with a few friends about different tutoring programs. They seemed extremely expensive or when I met with the instructors, they seemed vague in HOW they could help my son. When I met with Joyce from Kumon she showed me a plan, a fee guide that didn't hurt to swallow and was very clear on how the program worked. I enrolled my son immediately. Since starting Kumon, my son's reading comprehension tests went from 20-30% to 80-90% and by the end of the school year his overall grade in Language Arts rose from 2/5 to 3/5. Although his reading level is just now approaching grade level, his confidence has grown. New reading and language concepts are a snap for him because he has had the chance to practice them at Kumon. Joyce is very encouraging and her staff is helpful. It's a terrific program and I recommend it to anyone seeking improvement in math and reading, no matter what level they are starting from.

Joyce is experienced and knowledgeable and has a great rapport with her students. She motivated my son to persevere in her gentle and humorous way. Joyce and the people that work with Joyce are incredible. Joyce is so nice and very easy to talk with and she is also passionate about her students progress. I would say that Kumon is one of the best ways for kids to learn new concepts or to catch up on areas that they might have fallen behind on. The Kumon program is very comprehensive. I can see a real change in my daughter’s math ability, accuracy and speed. Thank you Kumon!!!! And thank you Joyce!!!!!!

When I took calculus in university, kumon really helped me understand the concept and it ended up being my highest mark of my first year. Staff is very friendly at the center and they do their best to help students excel!

My son has finished all levels of math and reading there. Currently he works for Joyce as a PT tutor. I highly recommend Sherwood Park Kumon Center to every parent but keep in mind Kumon is a long term program that is focused on enrichment. Give your child more time and patience in Kumon. You will see the big improvement from your kids.
