*Please note, this review has nothing to do with TD as Kristiyan had begun working on his own approximately three months ago* I wrote this review on December 12th; I saved it in my notes in an attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt, hoping that the broker would redeem themselves by “working on the backend” as they’ve been telling us this for so long. The reason I am posting this now is because I would hate for anyone to fall victim to their carelessness that almost destroyed us. Please read: If I could give a rating of zero, I would. Being a realtor myself with a knowledge of how this industry is conducted, I could not be more disappointed with the severe lack of communication on behalf of this brokerage. My husband and I put in an offer for a home two months ago with an original closing date of November 30th. We were asked by our mortgage broker to extend the closing date to December 14th (to be on the safe side) due to a request for one pay stub (which we were told is all we needed to close and no more than 5 business days are necessary to process). Now, I understand that there is a process that is out of the brokers hands and mortgages are becoming more and more difficult to obtain- that is not my complaint. The document was submitted on November 28th, 5 business days go by, no word from our broker. My husband had to chase them down with more than 3-4 methods of communication. On December 11th, after my husband had to go to lengths to get a hold of them, he finally did only to find out that we were declined. The broker did not call us, did not keep us in the loop whatsoever. We are now two days away from closing on the amended closing date and they have not even booked an appraisal. So all in all, if you enjoy amending your closing date to a later time, enjoy extreme lack of communication and have hopes of being sued one day, this is the place to go. I would never recommend a client to deal with this. The bare minimum a broker needs to do is communicate with their client. The only time they communicated without having to have been hunted down first is when a review was left on their page. Again, with mortgages, there are certain things that are simply out of the brokers hands and that is understandable. People fall victims of processing everyday. The real and only disappointment is that what was in their hands was handled completely carelessly with absolutely no regard to their client. After reading that, I would just like to add that the closing date came, and we still haven’t heard a single word from them.
