I would highly recommend Kootenay Lake Dental. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Koshieff for over 6 years. Before moving to Nelson we would drive from Trail to go to his dental clinic. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and make every visit a pleasant experience. My son recently had to have a small cavity filled. Dr. Koshieff took extra care and time to make him feel at ease, so did his assistant. I do not believe my son would feel comfortable with any other dentist. I have total confidence recommending Dr. Koshieff and his clinic for any family.

The one receptionist is just plain rude, I’ve never dealt with the other one so I can’t say anything about her. Everytime I call I get the rude one, and I just can’t stand calling the place anymore: they don’t work with budgets, won’t talk or work around a payment plan. Definitely don’t recommend this place.. I feel scared to even call and cancel appointments.

I'm new to Nelson and to Kootenay lake dental. I appreciate the great job they do and how they really work efficiently to get me on my way. All of the staff I have had so far have had great attitudes and genuinely seem to care about providing high quality care. The direct billing is something that makes my life easier.

really fun and welcoming dental assistants, and lovely dentists. We had a billing issue and miscommunication and they were quick to fix the problem! I appreciate that the owner shows terrific integrity. Thanks for easing concerns and working with my family to meet our needs.

Wonderful people who do the work. Dentists assistants. Great people. Unfortunately I cant say the same about the two women who work the front desk I have never met more rude and judgemental people in this type of industry. The interrogation I received for not being able to make an appointment was beyond unexceptional.when you cancell an appointment you are required to give 24 hours notice not 48 hours with a written report. Not to mention being told you dont have benefits when you know you do is a very stressful situation to go through every time you go to the dentist. Very very rude.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! The staff at this clinic make each dental experience a pleasure! The atmosphere in the clinic is superbly upbeat and the staff are all friendly, knowledgable and professional. Each treatment is thoughtfully planned out and options are communicated in a clear and conversational manner. It is clear this clinic strives for excellence. I highly recommend Kootenay Lake Dental.

I'm a dentist in town and I refer my kids that need a lot of dental work to Dr. K because he is great with these more complicated pediatric patients. They have also taken out a couple a tricky wisdom teeth for me. Thanks!!!!

Let me preface this with the fact that I am full-on PETRIFIED of dentists. I only go if I have absolutely no option. I am 36 and a big baby about this stuff, after a very traumatic dental treatment as a kid. That said, I have to say that I’ve never had a bad experience here. When I go for cleanings, one of the hygienists gives a neck massage to help reduce the anxiety, they give me Advil ahead of time and a warm fuzzy blanket. If it’s a filling or more involved procedure, I can request anti anxiety meds and it really, really helps! Yesterday I had my lower wisdoms out, and as always they gave me my requested meds to help settle my anxiety, the fluffy blanket and the really kind assistant—yesterday it was Wendy, who is smiley and welcoming. Dr. Young did the extraction and he immediately took me seriously when I explained that some of the reason I’m so afraid of dentists is that they often don’t listen when I say I’m still in pain. He did, and when I could STILL feel twinges he immediately stopped and added more freezing, and I can’t express how grateful I am for that. It wasn’t an easy appointment, but it wasn’t bad enough for me to delay coming back in for the top extraction, and I’m grateful! Today I’m sore, but it feels like they’re healing okay. So thanks guys. I know not many people look forward to seeing you, and I can’t say I do, but you’re the best dental clinic I’ve ever been to!
