About Koinonia Christian School (Red Deer)
Our independent school authority operates four fully accredited Christian school programs with a commitment to a Biblical standard of spiritual and academic excellence. We are also blessed to support home education families throughout the province of Alberta.
We believe parental responsibility for the education of their children is an inalienable right given to them by God. We also believe every child is made in the image of God with unique talents and needs. It is our privilege to provide educational choices to parents seeking an independently governed Christian option for the instructional needs of their family.
Koinonia (pronounced koy-no-NEE-uh) is an ancient Greek word meaning Christian fellowship with God and others who hold common beliefs. We invite you to explore our community and connect with us if your family is committed to discipleship-based Christian education to the glory of God.
Our school authority is supported in its mission by our membership with the Koinonia Christian Education Society (KCES) and the Association of Independent Schools and Colleges of Alberta (AISCA).
