Miles of hiking and biking trails that are maintained by members of the community. A beautiful spot in the both the summer and winter. The pond freezes over in the winter and is using for community skating, also maintain by individuals in the community.

Love this place to skate in the winter! A few zonks: - Too many kids and people during the weekends, and afternoon - Smells like sewage (Due to decomposition) - Lots of rough ice Other than those things, it's an amazing place to ice skate! Just arrive early, and have fun!

Kizell Pond is only situated minutes away from the nearest suburb and yet you are in the middle of nature. The nature with its gigantic trees, large bodies of water and colourful animals is amazing to observe. There are multiple hiking trails around. The only downside is that those aren't particularly well-identified, so you have to trust your instincts to find your way around.

Beautiful and peaceful trails so close to home! Kizell Pond is located north of Beaver Pond, and nestled next to the Kanata Estate and Richardson Ridge residential developments. The small pond is home to many bird species as well as small rodents. During the pandemic the pond has been made into a community skating rink. There are trails all around the Kizell Pond, with some signs for different levels of difficulty. The trails link to Beaver Pond and surrounding communities. A great place to take a short and easy hike! Update [Spring 2021] Be aware that there are MANY ticks around this area. I got bitten once already when snow was still on the ground, and a friend’s little girl also got bitten. Use insect repellent!

Absolutely beautiful rink! It's a community initiative where everyone shovels new paths. Small little trails around the trees. Families are always hanging out playing hockey :)
