★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kits Yacht Club has been squatting on the beach since 1934. It has always existed for one sole purpose - to give people easy access to the water - and it does that very well. The people are very nice, and everything is designed to make it easy for you to get involved in sailing in beautiful downtown Vancouver. Really, the name "Yacht Club" is a bit tongue in cheek. Think of it as an unparalleled opportunity to start enjoying sailing in a small, friendly community nestled in the heart of the city, yet literally one step away from spectacular nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a great club for racing in One Design Fleets such as Cal 20, 505, Lightning, Martin 242 and Outrigger paddle boats. It's very affordable and friendly. Sailing lessons are also available. There is a co - op fleet of boats and paddle boards as well. All in a spectacular setting ideally situated next to the Kitsilano pool with the best view of English Bay and the North Shore mountains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing location, great facilities for paddling, SUP, and sailing. Don't expect a fancy club dining experience or any grey poupon mustard, but I like it that way. They have a nice informal dinner and sailboat racing on Thursday evenings in the summer. Outstanding sailing training for kids starts early spring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ they went out of their way for me!!! i had accidentally signed up incorrectly and christine and kevin went out of their way, immediately, to fix my error and be sure i could get into classes that worked for my schedule. beyond stoked w kitsilano yacht club!!!
