The Kiswahili Learning Centre and Mr. Tololwa provided a valuable intercultural training session for our North American students prior to their departure to Swaziland and South Africa. I would highly recommend their services - the session was engaging, insightful, and helped set the foundation for an enriching cultural immersion. Ngiyabonga!

They also understand that they are teaching a foreign language, and so adjust the pace of learning according to student progress. Francis is a fantastic teacher and was a pleasure to work with. He took the time to ensure all of the sessions were tailored to the needs of our volunteers, was very open to feedback, and made all the seminars super fun and interactive. Our volunteers loved learning with KLC and we look forward to working with them in the future!

The classes were very effective in making sure you understood the content and were able to practice conversing in Kiswahili. They shared multiple books to further improve Kiswahili literature skills and overall made learning Kiswahili enjoyable.

KLC is such an amazing way to learn a beautiful language with a background of cultural knowledge to understand the Swahili-speaking worldview, history, and shared identity. This year was my second time using the Kiswahili for an intercultural session and our instructor Francis did a great job (as always). This session is crucial and is an awesome learning experience that helps students to become more culturally aware and competent.
