About Kinsmen Park

Our Vision

Martensville is a community of families, friends, and neighbours where we work, play and grow together in a safe, active, and healthy environment.- Martensville is a great place to call home.

Martensville is located eight kilometers north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Accessible via the double-lane Highway 12, and a short distance from the John G. Diefenbaker International Airport, Martensville is one of Western Canada's fastest growing cities. In the last decade the city has grown about 7% per year. Martensville is also a young city - 75% of the community’s population is under the age of 45.

Martensville was founded in 1939 when Isaac Martens and his son Dave, purchased land twelve kilometers north of Saskatoon. Dave Martens then sold three small parcels of this land to a number of people who wanted to move out of Saskatoon. A school was established in 1953 on land donated by Jake Gerbrandt and the community began to grow. The community was incorporated as a village in 1966 and as a town in 1969.  In 2009, Martensville was incorporated as a city.

Beautiful place to walk or ride a bike. Paths are in great shape and if you're walking a fur baby, there are lots of poop disposal areas with bags always stalked.

Stunning park in the heart of Martensville. It is very well maintained and clean. I love walking my dogs through here, especially now with all of the fall colors that are popping on the trees ?
