Kingfish Septic Pumping Experience - beware! If you are looking at having your septic tank pumped, you might want to look somewhere else. I had mine pumped by Kingfish this week and it was not a good experience. They showed up at 7:40 in the morning and by the time we were back from dropping the kids off at school (about 20 minutes or so later) they were already gone. I guess they were in a hurry and that's why they broke one of the covers on the septic tank. I got a message on my phone where they said that the cover broke because it was old, but they were sure I can find a replacement somewhere or, alternatively, I could have one custom made (and they left me the name of a company for that). I went to check out the septic tank, and indeed the cover was broken in 3 pieces. There were marks on the tank where it looks as if a crowbar was used to force the cover out (and for both covers there seems to be chipping and cracks on the septic tank - from forcing the covers out?). I guess they were in a hurry, no? Anyway, they didn't even bother to put back the other (still in one piece) cover properly: it had about an inch gap and it was extremely wobbly. I took it out and replaced it properly. Took me about 2-3 minutes, but I guess they didn't have the time to do it, they must have been in a hurry... I called the office and left a message complaining about these issues. A couple of hours later a guy (forgot the name) called me back and tried to make an excuse for every point above. Cover was not put back properly: a one inch gap is acceptable. WHAT??? He even started getting annoyed and raising his voice. I hung up. I didn't need that on top of everything else. Forget good workmanship, what a 'great' customer experience! Anyway, as I said, if you want to have your septic tank emptied, you might want to look somewhere else. And I used them about 5 years ago, at the time they were very polite, took their time to do a proper job and to put everything back nice and tidy. I guess they were under different ownership. Adrian

My husband and I are fairly new to our property and it's septic system; we knew we had to clean the effluent filter, but long story short, needed some guidance regarding our system. I phoned and spoke to Becky who referred us to the owner Joe. Joe sent me a detailed email and also very kindly stopped by when he was in the area to ensure we had the info we needed. We haven't even used their pumping services yet and it's already been a great experience. Thank you for your help as we navigated this learning curve!
