My wife and I purchased flooring from King's flooring last fall. These guys are pro's. We had the pleasure of working with Nick and we were not disappointed. He answered all of our questions (and there were many) thoroughly and truthfully. He did his best to provide us with the right flooring for the right price. We also had Nick and his installers upgrade our staircase with solid oak and it has become one of the highlights of our home. Bill and his son went above and beyond to help in any way they could. They displayed craftsmanship and pride of work. Being a tradesman myself, it was very refreshing to see the attention to detail they provided. I would highly recommend this company to anybody looking for great service at a great price. We are ecstatic with our experience and we will be returning to purchase floor from King's. This is a family run business that knows the value of its customers.

Brent did a wonderful job on our carpeting. In and done in 2 days for 4 large rooms. Those rooms we are very happy with. Brent and Gibby went above and beyond for us to fix our sub floor problem on the main floor unfortunately, it did not work, and the LVT which was installed on most of our main floor has cracked and split and now needs to be completely removed and replaced with an alternate flooring after only 1 year. There is $5000+ wasted because we relied on King's Flooring's expertise to guide us to a sound way to resolve the sub floor problem. When I contacted King's Flooring about the problem, they sent someone to come look at it. Instead of offering suggestions and possible solutions to help us figure out how to fix the problem, they put the blame on us for choosing the method we did to fix the subfloor. If the method we chose wasn't going to be sound, why did they suggest it in the first place? They blamed the fact that we have a large island in the kitchen but I showed them at the store and the installers the design plan for the kitchen plus, the cracking isn't just in the kitchen. Their ultimate solution was to give us 4 boxes of the flooring which isn't even enough to replace the broken planks. Not that you can easily remove the planks to begin with - they break. Gave 3 stars because of the carpet install and because of Brent & Gibby trying to help us out - they earned the stars King's Flooring did not.

We had our basement floor installed in September. This business was awesome from start to finish; with the most affordable quote of many companies in area. I can’t recall the man’s name who came to provide the quote (I think Matt?), but he was very warm, friendly and professional. Same for the man in the store as well; very friendly, and selecting and scheduling was easy and fast. Brent installed carpet and vinyl floors in a matter of days! He was on time, professional and friendly; I believe he called one morning to let us know he was running behind and he still showed up on time. He’s thorough, honest, and quick. I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for affordable flooring with honest, professional work. Thanks so much!!

Thank you to Nick and Brent for your outstanding customer service. A few years back we needed a basement carpet, Nick sent his guy out and installed the carpet in no time. Fast forward to now, we decided to replace all our upper and main flooring and Nick helped me stay calm as we were in a time crunch and Brent did the install. Brent is a very experienced installer who is meticulous with his work. Nick also helped our daughter out with her new gym flooring. Great place, great people!!! Thank you!

Could not have asked for a better experience. Nick took the time to help us select the right carpet and colour that would hold up over the years with our dogs. Really accommodating working around my renovation schedule. Compared to other carpet stores in the area, the price was less than half than other stores for the same quality of carpet. On top of that, the quote went down over $600 after final measurements were made. The installer Brent did an amazing job on the stairs and bedrooms. The finished project surpassed our hopes. His care and attention to detail is something that only comes with years of experience. I would and have recommended King's Flooring to my friends. Thanks so much.

First and foremost - I was incredibly happy with the price, the actual installation and the promptness of this company. They accepted my first call from a car phone and were measuring my basement by the next day – the man who came over was very pleasant. Picking the carpet was a breeze, the salesman was patient with me while I picked out a carpet from the β€˜on sale’ table. The actual installation of my carpet went quickly and the quality seems top notch. It went sour at the discussion of moving furniture. From measurement, it was apparent that furniture would have to be moved. I had even discussed if that was something they even did. The measurer explained that they do it, but they hate it when they come to a job, not knowing that furniture needs to be moved, and they don’t have their dollies and moving tools. So, I had explained at this point that, they had best bring them, as furniture will definitely have to be moved. In the salesroom, while drafting up the work order, I was asked, if furniture would have to be moved – I said β€˜yes’. I would do my best to move it to a place that is out of the way – but it would have to be moved. The work order was drafted, stating that I would be moving the furniture. Despite being told at every occasion, that they would be moving my furniture. When the installers saw the furniture, they would not move it. I had called King’s Flooring back and explained what was going on, and was told that the biggest font on the work order was that the customer would be moving furniture. If I couldn’t move it, I would have to negotiate with the installers. I had already paid up-front for the entirety of the carpet. I was already out X dollars. The installers had my carpet – so I was stuck in a situation where I had already paid for an item, but would not have it unless I could work out a new deal with a third party. I was quoted $200 for them to move the furniture. I had said β€˜no’ and began trying to move the furniture myself into a room off the main room. After watching me struggle with the couch, the installer told me to stop and that β€˜$150, final offer – we'll move it’. Realizing that I had no option, I had to capitulate. I had felt incredibly vulnerable by King’s Flooring. The installers could have asked any amount they wanted to, and I would have had to have paid. Later, I was reminded by King’s Flooring that I was actually lucky here – as I technically paid less than what they would have originally charged for furniture removal – as if my stress and vulnerability were worth less than $50. Oddly enough, the installers moved the couch to a place I could have easily done myself. But I suppose this is beside the point. He would not take a cheque, and had asked for an e-transfer. After this, the installation went smoothly. I called them to explain why I had felt so sour with the experience. They had stuck behind their work order. The phone call was frustrating for both of us – from being reminded that this is exclusively my fault, and being told that I had suffered no real loss as I had paid $50 less. I had no intention of asking for any money back – I just wanted them to recognize how much it sucked for me. The man on the phone was happy to inform me that he has multiple jobs per day, and that I am the only one who has ever had an issue. As if this somehow negates my experience. I doubt he particularly cares that I buy things multiple times per day without issue. There was no apology – no recognition of what had transpired and how it was handled. There was a flippant disregard for the customer experience. Somehow King’s flooring had felt that I should have been happy being put in a situation of no-power negotiating with installers. He was befuddled that I would have preferred to pay up front for furniture moving (which I thought I had already done) instead of being put in a scenario where I had to unexpectedly shell out more money than I had anticipated. Double check your work order.

Our first experience, last year, with King’s Flooring was great (4 stars). Our second experience, today, fell short when the installer wore his shoes through my house without adding floor protection (2 stars). The installer also did not present wearing a mask and as Matt pointed out is on us as we didn’t ask him to wear one. When I called to speak to Matt I was asked what could be done to make me happy. I shut down. Really? Put down floor protection. Clean my floors! Ask the homeowner what their preference is, mask or no mask? (Please note; Matt insists it is difficult for the installers to do their jobs wearing a mask). No apology was offered and accountability to do better. Additionally, I was told I was given a discount for taking the end of the roll, or a remnant. I paid the full advertised price. Of course, I have no recourse as their invoices do not have anything itemized. For future shoppers, insist on an itemized invoice (bill of sale).
