Dr. Kirsten Gullickson has worked at Kinetik since September 2020. She was born and raised in Regina, SK. She completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at the University of Regina and went on to complete her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of New Brunswick. Dr. Gullickson completed her pre-doctoral internship training at the Edmonton Consortium Clinical Psychology Residency Program, where she had the opportunity to work at the Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic (for chronic pain), Specialized Rehabilitation Outpatient Program (for amputations, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries), and Behavioural Sleep Medicine Clinic (for insomnia). She has previous experiencing working with medical inpatients and in a cardiac rehabilitation program. She is a Registered Doctoral Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists (#1144) and holds an Authorized Practice Endorsement for psychological diagnosis. Her declared areas of practice are clinical psychology and health/rehabilitation psychology.

Dr. Gullickson provides evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment to adults struggling with adjustment to injury/illness, pain management, health behaviour change, stress, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress, loss/grief, and identity changes. She has a special interest in sleep problems. She is trained to provide cognitive behaviour therapy (transdiagnostic and disorder-specific, including cognitive behaviour therapy for insomnia, cognitive processing therapy, and prolonged exposure therapy), acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational enhancement. Dr. Gullickson is dedicated to understanding how biological, psychological, and social factors interact to contribute to each client’s sense of well-being. She believes in an active, collaborative approach to psychotherapy, with a focus on long-term self-management.
