M	Mark Reid on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice campground. Big spots. Bike to Rock Creek along the old rail road. Float along the river. Swim under and jump off the old rail bridge. Hike up the hill to the Canada flag, leave a note and or trinket in the box.
J	Jennifer Love on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been camping here since the 80's and, although it's gotten much busier, it's still my favorite in BC. Beautiful sites, clean bathrooms with hot showers, and perfect beaches. We were here 2 weeks before the fire in August, 2015 and this is our first year back since. It was a surreal experience entering the park and seeing the destruction, but the lower sites haven't changed at all. The upper campground saw most of the damage, but there is beautiful new growth happening already. The new flowers have brought in more birds than I have ever seen here.
K	Katia Jesson (Catherine) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Second visit here 2 July's in a row. Campsite reservations booked for Canada Day weekend but we arrived Friday to find plenty of availability. Campsites range from moderately shaded to none at all in first come area (where fire in 2015 burned this part of park- it is now full of wildflowers in early July and has a good sunset view). Sites are well separated and spacious flat and clean but not private due to a lack of folliage at ground level). No sites have water view and expect to walk quite a bit to get to water especially if you plan to float down the river. The big plus is campground is on inside of U bend in river so you can jump in on one side and get out on other. Water was pretty shallow in a number of places - our kayak barely made it through in spots. Day use area parking was full. Kettle Valley bike path comes through campground. Good family place if you just like hanging in water. Limited hiking out of campground.
L	Lorraine Cox on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We didn’t use showers or toilets, but did peek into one and it was clean. Sites are well kept. This is a beautiful campground despite the fire in 2015. Although the fire deviation is evident from Highway 33 and down towards the campground, the campground itself was spared and is still well treed and beautiful. A few sites at the back which are FCFS only, are more open than they had been pre fire, but anyone camping with solar can appreciate this as an advantage.
K	Ken Young on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to camp. There are non reservable sites available at the west end of the campground. Almost all of the outhouses are flush toilets and there is a shower house that is free. They have a dirt jump park for bikes by the playground and the trans-canada trail runs right by the campground for long trail rides on your bike. Past the east end of the campground is a small sandy beach by the river and is a good place for swimming. A fire went through the area in 2015 which encroached on the west end of the area but most of the park was saved.

Lots of space to roam, a very nice float and swim river, running potable water, flushing toilet outhouses, shower facilities, close to civilization so to speak. Not a lot of privacy (especially in the fire-damaged area), and tent surfaces are more rock geared to RVs than fine gravel.
