★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best ice cream ever. Of all time. I usually get Cotton Candy as that is my #1 but I got the key lime pie because it's still only exclusive up north. I had to bring some home for myself and it made it for the 4 hour long drive home!
It may have been 10 years since I've been up, but it was worth the wait!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best ice cream in Ontario! Never have anything bad to say about kawartha dairy. And it doesn’t matter which location you go to, they’re service is always top of mind as well as the quality they put out. The other thing you have to appreciate is the size of the ice cream scoops. The small is two healing scoops of ice cream, but if you’re gonna enjoy ice cream, why not go big! The flavour to try definitely has to be the key lime pie! Nice and refreshing and really tastes like the pie itself! Another awesome flavour to try is the blue buried treasure. My top picks from kawartha! Great job overall! Will definitely see myself coming back here amd other locations year after year!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cottaging tradition is to make a stop here at Minden for some excellent ice cream. While not the OG location which is at Bobcaygeon, this Minden location is still regarded by most as the main one. They also sell milk and tubs to take home but anytime one stops by a Kawartha dairy, we always try the flavors not available in the tube like Pistachio almond. Massive parking lot, friendly staff. Convenient washrooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is probably the most well known Kawartha Dairy location, it is that quintessential ice cream experience. You walk up to a serving window place your order and get it moments later.
The number of flavours is overwhelming and they continue to add new flavours to the list. If you want ice cream or a shake this is the spot, but one thing to note the quanity you get is huge. Baby size is likely enough for most people (1 large scoop) with small being 2 large scoops (can combine 2 flavours) if you go to the even larger size I wish you luck on that journey.
You can also buy tubs of ice cream, they have prepackaged flavours (the most popular flavours). You can also get tubs of virtually any flavour on the list but it just won't come in their nice packaged tubs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They really need to start allowing 2 flavours in the baby scoops. The small size (in photo) is way too big and melts really fast, seems like the ice cream is not completely frozen when they serve it. Why offer so many flavours if you’re limiting people from trying them? Also napkins should be given with every ice cream not asked separately. Would like to see more dairy free options in future since the flavours they have are a bit boring.
