Drive up to the parkade door and push the red button attached to the yellow box on the driver’s side. The door will open automatically. Drive DOWN the ramp to the basement and turn left. ( Look for the overhead signs that say “HOURLY PARKING”.) On your right you will find a yellow ticket box that accepts Loonies, Toonies and Credit Cards. Parking is paid by the hour. Make sure to display the ticket prominently on your dashboard. Patients should provide for a minimum of 2 hours parking, especially those whose treatment will be completed that day. The parkade “Commercial Side” elevators take you directly to the 7th floor. Look for the signs that say “Dental Offices and Commercial”.
Please DO NOT park using street meters. They are regularly patrolled and ticketed. Please note, parking is prohibited on Portage Avenue after 3:30 p.m. Dr. Kaufmann cannot be responsible for towed cars or tickets given to patients.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This doctor needs to remember to be a good person for his patients.
My friend flew across the country by request of this doctor's office.
Mr. Kaufmann didn't do his research on the file before my friend made the cross country trip and decided after reviewing the file that he didn't want to do surgery.
The doctor didn't admit his mistakes (which may have been made for good reasons) and the trip was not reimbursed for my friend.
Be sure if you are going to fly across the country that you talk to this doctor by phone to verify that your file has been reviewed! Being a specialist doesn't absolve you of being wrong or making mistakes.
I would question this doctor's integrity after hearing of this situation...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Billing system is frustrating. Receptionist is awful. They ask cash but don't direct bill to insurance. After that don't send the bill to insurance company electronically. I requested papers by fax and lady said she will but I think she forget. They need to be more transparent. If my doctor did not refer this office I would not go there. So ignorant !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most endodontists charge for an initial visit $100-200, which is reasonable. Dr Kaufmann wants $700 upfront which he will work off if he can help you. If he can't, there is no refund, which would be a lot for 1/2 hour and xray. Our refering dentist didnt know if he could help us, so like most working stiffs we find that $ arrangement steep. We chose to go elsewhere and had the referal changed. Ultimately your going to pay 1100-2000 ++ but the intitial consult fee of 700 turned us off. Likely a very competant dentist , but our guess is that he's not very motivated for new customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was referred by my General Dentist and Dr. Kaufmann was able to see me the same day. I was very anxious leading up to the time of my appointment (I mean, who isn't when they are drilling in your mouth) but that was laid to rest when he sat me down and explained the whole procedure. I was quite impressed. I did not feel a thing and he played tunes the whole time. Afterwards, he showed me the work he did and explained everything. I would HIGHLY recommend him for any specialized work such as a root canal. You will walk away satisfied.

He was happy to attend his next two appointments without any fears. The staff were all very kind and cheerful. If you need a root canal don’t think about going anywhere else. Got mine done here last year and it was a breeze! Thanks to everyone at the clinic. You will be highly recommended. ?
