What can I tell you about me?

I have over 13 years experience in the beauty industry owning and operating Shades Tanning & Esthetics Studio, Pretty Little Things Esthetics Studio, and now rolling solo as Katie Vickaryous Makeup Artistry & Esthetics. My post-secondary education is in Commerce, and I’m also professionally certified in Esthetics and Spray Tanning.

I have a love for writing and finally have my own blog attached to this site, so click the link for an uncensored look into everything I’m up to, professionally and otherwise. Heads up, if you can't handle a little bit of language, real talk, and pull-no-punches humour... probably skip some of my posts. Just sayin'.

I'm so lucky to have an amazing network within our province and love collaborating with other small businesses to create an environment where we can all thrive. My social media is often an avenue for me to show sides of both my professional and personal life, as well as showcase other inspiring members of our community. 

Over the course of my career I’ve gained a crazy amount knowledge that enables me to choose high performing, professional products and provide excellent customer service. Although I am extremely particular about the work I do, I am well known for my laid back environment and sense of humour. My goal is to have people be able to put full trust in me and always feel comfortable in my space. My clients know that what’s said in my studio, stays in my studio. They are more than just customers, they become friends. We laugh, cry, and vent together and that’s what makes my job the best in the world.

I operate out of my home-based studio in Saskatoon, SK. Although most of my clients book a year’s worth of appointments in advance, I’m often able to be flexible with my schedule and accommodate new guests. After all, there are 24 usable hours in every day, right?
