Driven by a desire to get away from the 9 to 5 job, I found myself more and more frequently taking on friends and family's challenges for custom designed furniture and décor. Realizing my true passion for creating with this ancient medium, JLH was born.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have had Trevor built us several projects: office desk, bookshelf, printer table, growth charts, compost bin, blanket ladder, and most recently a corner cabinet. Trevor is a pleasure to deal with and a great person. He has pride in his work and takes his time to make things right. We have other projects in mind that Trevor will be our first call to complete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was really excited to work with Trevor for my home projects, he seemed like the solution to completing a bunch of projects I simply don't have the space for, so I requested a set of modern barn doors and provided the picture, dimensions, and finish requirements (given that they were modern and I wanted a cabinet style finish, I felt this was important to emphasize). There seemed to be no issue with this and so I provided the deposit. Sadly, when I received the barn doors, they were clearly made in a rustic style that did not match my picture or detailed request. However, given that this was a product produced for me, I still paid the remaining amount on the invoice but I also reached out to Trevor to explain the doors were unusable for my house and highlighted that he had not met my requirements. I received an apology and an offer to refund 25% of the total I paid, which although I didn't feel was fair because now I am out hundreds of dollars and still have to get additional doors made, I accepted with the intent of moving on. This was over a month ago, and after multiple follow ups, Trevor has not refunded me the money offered.
All said, I feel that I provided every requirement in very clear detail to Trevor and this was not attended to and I feel I respected that we had a financial agreement and tried to reconcile the issue with him in a civil manner but have not been paid the same respect. I would not recommend working with someone like this.
