E	Eric Rannaud on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UPDATE 2: The report has finally been completed, and when the ownership met the engineers in charge of the project, everyone agreed that they are very competent and excellent communicators. It's regrettable they were so unable to communicate while the project was repeatedly delayed. With construction costs going up all the time in Vancouver, a project delayed by several years becomes substantially more costly when it is eventually started. Each owner in our strata will basically have to spend $3000-5000 extra just because of the 2-3 year delay in the overall project caused by JRS in their poor handling of the preparatory phase. UPDATE 1: It's been now 3 years since the report was commissioned. Still nothing. INITIAL REVIEW: It is not entirely clear how legit this business is: it looks like they overbook themselves all across the lower mainland and then string along their customers for as long as possible without doing any actual work. Our strata contracted them over 2 years ago to write a report on the possible replacement of the windows in our complex. They're getting paid over $50k for this "work". The report is well over a year late, with no update whatsoever. Every so often, they make it look like they're going to do some work: they schedule visits in some strata lots for "sampling" and "assessments", but never actually show up on the date. To the owners, it feels like they're just a commercial front, but that they don't have any real engineers on staff. Not recommended.

The two fellows who conducted the work, Kurtis Topping and Kelvin Chen, were the utmost professionals who displayed great customer service skills, and their knowledge of building envelopes/building science was immediately evident when talking with them. I can't thank them enough for their work :) I also appreciated the the Senior Engineer Torsten Ball who originally provided the scope of work and cost estimate for me, as he was also diligent and transparent in all aspects of the quoting process.
