I have had good experience with Johnson Insurance, they apply any discount I qualify for without having to call ask for it. That wasn't the case with my former Insurance company!

I was able to quickly arrange for car insurance for a new vehicle. Really lowered my anxiety level and added to the excitement of getting a new car.

I started with them for the discount being an ONA member. This year they sent me a magnet in the mail with a picture of a nurse and qualities of a nurse depicted on it. Very infuriating as it points out nurses have empty stomachs, full bladders and mystery stains on their scrubs! I'm curious to know Johnston Insurance, is this how you see your hard working health care providers and think its ok and heroic? I will be leaving your company as soon as I can without a penalty. Maybe actually do something for nurses.

Poor customer service,I was recommended to Deeks Insurance. I got into an accident which took 7 weeks to be finalised. After trying to contact customer through numerous means, I wasn't able to get any info and would be told this isn't their Dept, I need to contact another Dept.. Eventually an adjuster called in the 6th week saying I need to "sign a release form and take my plates off, they are taking the car tomorrow and I need to return the rental I was given in 3 days. I didn't sign the release because I wasn't informed where my car would be taken, despite asking. The adjuster still decided to go and take the car without my consent. With the new owners the company has been dysfunctional. I give into a second chance but today was another, I got my renewed policy almost a week after the renew date. I couldn't drive due to not having a insurance at hand which was such an inconvenience. Paying this company for a service to which the service is poor.

DO NOT use this insurance company. I moved out of the country and had to cancel my insurance. I have been waiting almost 5 months for my refund cheque. Have called countless times. Every time I call I am given a different excuse as to why it hasn't been sent and I am told that the cheque will arrive in 10 days. Five months later, the cheque still has not arrived. It is shameful that this company is still allowed to operate.

I Put one of the vehicles on my policy on suspension (comprehensive coverage only) for the winter time as it is a seasonal vehicle (paid in full annually) I was told over the phone my refund would be processed the following day and be refunded in 5-7 days. Two weeks go by, no refund. I call the back and I’m informed that a refund only gets processed every third week of the month. Fine. I wait two more weeks, to the 4th week of the month. No refund. Call back (now the fifth week) and informed that it may take 4-6 ADDITIONAL weeks. Three times I’ve called to inquire, and all three times a different response. Which is it?! I hold very little hope that I will ever receive my nearly $700 refund. I always knew insurance companies were a scam, but now I’m finding out first hand. Ive been with TD insurance, Bel Air Direct and Intact insurance in the 14 years I’ve been driving, and not one company has been so misinformed as these people are. Do yourself a favour and spend a little bit more and go to another company, I will likely not be renewing next year with this company because 100% of the people I’ve spoken to, clearly have no idea what they’re doing. Reading other reviews I’m glad I’ve never had to make a claim because I imagine it’s a nightmare! Get your **** together JOHNSON INSURANCE!
