★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You want dumplings? Jin Jin is the place to go. We sat down for a meal for 10 and had one of the most authentic (I assume) and tasty Chinese meals I've had. This is not the place to go if you want lemon chicken or ginger beef. The decor and cleanliness of the place left much to be desired.

The place itself is old and a bit outdated but it's worth visiting for the dumplings and the soups !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here because a co-worker recommended the dumplings. There was a definite language barrier but the food was delicious. My wife and I shared the mixed veggie fried dumplings, Tianjin-style steamed dumplings, Chinese haggis soup (made with offal), and some sort of noodle dish (which we're not sure if the server/owner changed on us because she pointed to a soup instead but we still got the noodles). Definitely recommend this restaurant for the most authentic and traditional Chinese food!

If I could rate this restaurant as no star, I will. I dont usually give reviews this bad, yet I couldn't help it due to our experience. We tried this restaurant because of the good reviews but we were really disappointed.
When we got there, the lady was not even wearing her mask properly and did not even bother checking our proof of vaccine. Tables are not cleaned, some used plates are there when we got then, the lady just took them out and did not even bother wiping the table. Utensils have old, dried rice or even food particles on it. We decided to stay to give it a chance. Asked for other "new cleaned utensils" and showed here they were not clean, server was not friendly, telling use something in her language and slamming the utensils at the table.
Dumplings, shallot pancake and one cuisine she told us that is one of their best sellers, ALL NOT GOOD! They taste mediocre, or even less than that.
Accidentally used the tea cup as a saucer, the lady was so mad even if we apologized and asked for a new one. Instead she poured water on the saucer and asked us to use it as our cup to drink into. That was so rude that made us decide to leave and not even finish our food.
(I did not make this review out of anger, it took me days to cool off so I can write a fair and unbiased review. I have been to different restaurants around the world, same as like this one, kind of "sketchy" and looking old, but services and foods are exceptional!)

The lamb pot is very mediocre as well...
Buying premade handmade dumplings from good companies in Chinese markets would be much cheaper and taste better imo
The owners seem quite friendly tho.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you keep an open mind, this place will surprise you. My favourite is their dumplings, it was so delicious I forgot to take a picture which next time I would! I hope people will give this place a try!
