And he enjoys the horses and his work, the horses and people are treated well. The barn has a fun, positive vibe. After buying a horse from his barn, I feel I can always message or go back and get prompt responses and advice, and I do! Okay, that’s more than ’one thing’ but feel these are important characteristics when considering a horse trainer... ?

L	Liz Higgs on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For almost 3 years I sat on the sidelines in the indoor arena and sometimes the outdoor watching Jim work some of the most beautiful and talented 2 or 3 year old Colts and Filly's. To watch him train from their first day in the barn to their last day in their training is just a phenomenal sight to watch. His calm nature with the horses, as well as his work ethic around the barn when it comes to the care and attention the horses receive is top-notch. Our daughter entered his lessons program for riding and horsemanship when she was 10. Right away Jim, his family, and his staff welcomed her into the horse world as well as the Reigning world. We looked forward to going to the barn every week for her lessons because the family feeling you get when you are there makes you feel like you are one of their own. Over those three years she was taught more than just taking a horse around the arena. She was taught confidence, self esteem, self worth and many other life skills. She became everyone's little sister :) I highly recommend Jim and Staff for anything you are needing for your horse of any age or your children.

My friend had sent her mare to him the previous year and I was shocked to see so much growth in her horse and how she changed so much for the better. I also experienced one of his clinics and it was so amazing to see how his training tools worked for all the horses , he really knows what he’s doing! My mare came home relaxed, quiet and I can actually trust her. He was able to complete many tasks I asked him to work on. She also came home fit and healthy, no weight loss. I have been to his barn a couple times and it’s very clean, horses are all well taken care of, knowledgeable friendly staff and Jim is a pleasure to visit with. He is upbeat, funny, caring, welcoming and puts his heart into his work. You won’t be disappointed!

From experience of being able to have the opportunity to stay with him and his amazing family and be able to work with his horses was a “like no other” experience. I’ve never learned so much in the two weeks I was there in such a short time, it was so awesome! Riding with Jim, not only makes you a better rider but a better person overall. He really wants to see you succeed and is always there to help. I liked how he wanted you to set up goals that were to be achieved with your horse. He kept me up to date on my horses progress and or needs. My horse came home with a schedule and a game plan to keep us going for the season. His staff was exceptional and accommodating.
